"This place’s view was stunning. The cabin is exactly as pictured and cozy. The most important factors for us were that it was dog friendly and they had an amazing restaurant on site which was handy because there isn’t much around in terms of dining. This place is worth the drive and the hosts who live on site were accommodating but also gave you space. I would recommend this place to anyone going to the Powell river area"

"Motel is basic! No breakfast offered. We needed to be moved to a new room as the base board heaters were not working and unfortunately, the beds were so high my mom needed a chair to climb up and onto the bed with!! But the price was under $100.00 for off season rates."

"They are certainly making quite a few improvements to their rooms. Huge TV, the shower is really nice. We did end up staying there before they had installed anywhere to hang our wet coats, but oh well, we made do. Our biggest disappointment was that we didn't get to use the pool because they were waiting on an inspection. But that's beyond their control. Look forward to May 2026\. That's when they figure that all the upgrades will be done. This is the second time we have stayed at Painter's lodge, and there is a reason. The rooms are simple (what we have gotten anyway), and the location is lovely with spectacular views. The staff is great and very gracious. The pub food is really good. The main building has nice seating areas to sit by the fire, or to play games. It's very welcoming."

"The accommodations were very clean. The kitchen was well stocked. The deck view exceptional. The unit was as described. It's a unique little dwelling that we really enjoyed. The art work is lovely, the robes soft, the bedding beautiful. Michelle was great at communicating with us. We'll be back!"

"Beautiful view. Room was clean and quiet. Only downfall was no elevator, which we knew of but didn't realize lobby was on 5th floor and complimentary breakfast/ restaurant was on 3rd floor. So no matter what floor you were on you had to go up 3 sets of stairs. My bad for not checking further into it."
