Welcome to the family lakehouse that will remind you of your childhood summers and give your kids an experience just as memorable. Start each morning with a cup of coffee on the back deck when the placid lake most resembles a looking glass. Be sure to scan the vista for the loons who are frequent visitors here. You'll have access to a shallow, sandy cove when you're ready to get out on the water. You are welcome to paddle out from the private dock in one of the available kayaks. Water toys are also provided!
Originally built in 1930, this property has been thoughtfully updated with central air-conditioning and an electric water heater (with better water pressure!) and is ready to host multi-generational groups. Kid-friendly extras include a Pack 'n Play, booster seat, and high chair.
The living area features a children's play area with games and books, and classic cozy furnishings. The rich wood-paneled walls convey an authentic cabin atmosphere. After whipping up your favorite recipe in the full kitchen (no dishwasher), head outside to the picnic area shaded by towering trees.

Everything you need for a family vacation! The location was ideal for quiet days on the lake or heading to the coast for fun. The cabin was equipped with everything you could need - from kayaks to laundry to utensils. The bedrooms are tight spaces, and not the most comfortable of beds, but the location, other cabin spaces and amenities make up for it. A favourite vacation spot for our family and hope to be back again.
This house is set in the perfect setting. We loved everything about the house and the property. The view of the lake is breathtaking! My family and I would absolutely stay here again!

Pictures of dock in listing was very misleading. It's half the size shown.

The Ultimate Maine Camp?
Definitely a contender. There are so many comfy places for folks to hang out, from the screened porch to the deck to the *dock* to the fire pit (and the living room is inviting, too), that Kilted Pines is almost a mash-up of all the greatest "goin' up ta camp" hits. The beds were comfy, the kitchen had everything we'd need, the water heater was great for showers, and, unexpectedly, the wi-fi bandwidth was through the roof. (We're happy if we can get 50MBits/Sec back home, but when I ran an Internet speed test in the Kilted Pines cabin, it was getting around 200MBits/Sec. Say what now?) There's also plenty of room for parking, just have to be careful backing out.
I'll say that we picked a great time to visit, the last week of September, so I can't vouch for how it would be in the height of summer nights without AC. That issue aside, we LOVED Kilted Pines, and we'll look forward to booking it again on our next visit to the Pine Tree State.
Aside from no heat/hot water for first day, group of 4 adults enjoyed. Also, no carafe in coffee pot but Rep from Vacasa brought a new coffeemaker upon arrival to check and find that propane was empty. I think anymore than 4 adults would be somewhat cramped. Would rent again but feel Vacasa should offer some type of a credit for the heat/hot water inconvenience.
Almost everything about this property was great, and was just what we needed for a family of 4 plus 2 dogs. The location on Panther Pond is perfect for kayaking, lounging, swimming, etc and the surrounding neighbors were all welcoming / respectful / etc. The cabin itself is slightly outdated compared to others we've stayed in, but that adds to the rustic appeal. The proximity to good restaurants and shops in Raymond and North Windham is a big plus; ice cream at Mosquito's and seafood at Fisherman's Catch were two highlights in that regard. Our only complaint relates to the corporate entity managing the property, Vacasa. The operator on the 24/7 text help line told me it was our responsibility to provide our own toilet paper beyond the small supply that was there at the start of the week; not the answer I was hoping for near midnight when I asked where to find additional rolls! However, that drive into town was a minor inconvenience in the midst of a very pleasant experience. We would still certainly recommend this property.
