Cowlitz River Lodge

Cowlitz River Lodge

10/10 Excellent
"Our stay was really great. The room was clean and cozy, there was hot chocolate, teas, coffees, and popcorn for the guest in the lodge. The beds were comfortable and there were many different pillows to choose from. To make our stay even better, the last night we were there, a large heard of elk invaded the property and stayed all night. There were elk right outside our room windows and out front as well. My husband is a photographer so he was in heaven. We were there for Mt. Rainier which was too foggy to see the entire time we were there so the elk were a nice distraction from our disappointment. Our only complaint would be the noise coming from upstairs. I'm not sure if everyone could hear the second floor so loudly or if our upstairs neighbors were just particularly loud, but it sounded like they were herding cattle at times."

Copper Creek Inn at Mt Rainier

Copper Creek Inn at Mt Rainier

10/10 Excellent
"Frenchie’s, The suite we stayed at Copper Creek Inn is clean and very spacious! It has a microwave, 5.6 cu.ft. fridge, plates, mugs, utensils, and best of all coffee beans, grinder and coffee maker! It also has a small dining table with bench seats if you want to properly eat, but we just ate at the coffee table in front of TV. There’s WiFi in the room and Roku TV, although the connection is spotty due to remoteness but who cares when you’re in such a beautiful area with pine trees out the windows. We ate at their restaurant (which is right below) a couple of times. After wandering out to eat elsewhere twice, we have to say their restaurant has the best food and prices, and best of all, their blackberry pie! All the staff at the restaurant were so upbeat and friendly. We’ll definitely return."

Nisqually Lodge

10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful stay here. The property is incredibly comfortable and the location is perfect if you are looking for quick, convenient access to Mount Rainier National Park. It made our park day so easy! The only minor drawback was that the lobby area was quite cluttered when we arrived, which didn't make the best first impression. I believe that the amenities provided here would be really useful for those guests who needed extras or had time to access the breakfast/ snack features. The actual accommodations were excellent. We would absolutely stay here again for the comfort and convenience!"

"The romantic suite was quaint and well suited for 2. However, we found that it was quite tight for 3 adults, especially when the sofa bed was fully extended. What we love most was that the to-go breakfast items were all delivered in our refrigerator the night before, allowing us to take that with us for the hike at 4:30am the next morning. We also love the trout pond behind the property. Location of the property --> Short drive to the Paradise entrance."

Crest Trail Lodge

Crest Trail Lodge

8/10 Good
"We stayed over the Labor Day Holiday weekend, so maybe that affected the price; but this was a fairly expensive hotel and yet felt more like a small-town, budget-price facility. The grounds and room were fine, just not the level one might expect for the pricey tag. Our only specific complaint was that the walls and ceiling were so sound-transparent that we could hear conversations going on at the Front Desk; and the footsteps from the floor above were so loud that I occasionally feared the person above might break through and join us in our room! I could hear them packing early in the morning - opening the fridge door, hangers clanging on the closet rack, microwave door closing -- all without my hearing aids in!"

"Nice place to spend the night before going camping at Mt Ranier which is about 40 minutes away? The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower had good water pressure and plenty of hot water. They also had decent WiFi! There is also a pretty good Mexican restaurant right across the parking lot. Plus a grocery store is really close too. I would highly recommend this place!"
