Cowlitz River access is just across the road and a small walking distance away. There are many dvd movies to watch, CDs for listening & books to read. Build a campfire, look at the stars, read a book, or just enjoy the elk walking by. The house sleeps 2 (Queen bed), 1 on a sofa (if you wish but it is not a hide-a-bed). I love decorating so every room has special touches to make it homey and comfortable. If you are looking for sterile plain surroundings this is not the place for you. It has been decorated as my very own home and it is comfortable warm and inviting! I love Packwood and I love the mountains! Tucked away in the woods, yet a 10min drive from the downtown packwood area, this property was a great location. Also a good proximity for hiking mt. Rainier at around 75mn drive from paradise or sunrise visitor centers. The place itself was incredibly comfortable, clean and well setup with a large (and well stocked!) kitchen and living room. Both the bed and couch were so comfortable. The patio was prime for watching the sunset as well.
