"We had a lovely stay at the cottage, however we did have a couple of problems. Our stay covered a Monday and Tuesday and pretty much all the pubs and restaurants are closed on mondays and Tuesdays - alternative choices would be very helpful. The lack of shower was disappointing. Yes, we should have checked beforehand, but not having a shower is unusual these days. "We decided not to stay. We found the property to be small, very dark and not that welcoming. Given it was dog friendly, the only outdoor space was a tiny paved area, not at all suitable. The cottage is right on the main road so very noisy. I don't know how the photos were taken but they don't reflect the very small and dark front room for instance. The info calls the small double room 'king size' but I don't think it is. Not for us. After a 1.5 hour drive, we turned around and went home. In...
