"The staff was very friendly and helpful. It matches with the description. But a lot of things didn’t work when I arrive, the wifi didn’t work, no TV signal, the stove top didn’t work, the microwave didn’t work. The staff did respond quickly to come fix things. The good side is the AC, shower, laundry washer and dryer all works great. "This is a very honest review. Travelled with my family (wife and 2 kids) from June 2nd to the 9th. Ok, so when we first checked in, mind you we have a stroller and a 1 year old and 4 year old. The guys at the front escorted us to our building via golf cart and when we get to the building, we learn the elevator is out of order. The staff got everything up there which was nice of him , but once we got in, my kids are loose in the room exploring. I got the 2,000 sq foot room only to learn it’s two separate rooms (connecting) , whatever , wasn’t advertised like that. Anyway, at the connecting doors / opening , it was all wet fresh paint, my kids hands all got paint on them, the room had dry wall pieces all over the room it was just a mess. I went back to the concierge and they said they would switch our rooms. Ok so the hotel is very dated and a lot of wear and the rooms need full Reno’s as there’s lots of visible damage. The service is 10/10 The food is decent , but we went out for dinners after the 2nd night as I couldn’t eat the hotel food anymore besides for breakfast, my kids enjoyed breakfast and lunch. The coffee bar there is 100/10 The beach / lagoon area is horrible, seaweed was bad , and it stunk up like crazy. Not their fault but our experience was 0/10 at the “lagoon” Vibe city broke up the day (kids play area / trampoline / arcade / bowling) I will not be going back to hard rock ever again."

"My husband and I had an AMAZING time during our 5-night stay at Devossion. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating, from the front desk staff to our waiters to our bartenders. Service is definitely #1 here. We loved our room, but we spent most of our time out and about on the property or on excursions to nearby locations (Akumal, Cozumel, and Quinta Avenida in Playa del Carmen). Food and drinks were all delicious, and the property is so well-maintained. They presented us with a small cake and special drinks after mentioning we were celebrating an anniversary, which was so thoughtful. Special shout-outs to Paloma, Natan, and the spa staff - including masseuses Lia and Rose - for exceptional service. Nami, the Asian restaurant, and the Cenote Spa are must-visits. I hope to be able to return here again in the future!"

"I’ll start off by saying this resort has some of the best food I’ve ever had at any resort in multiple different countries. It’s that good. Every restaurant was amazing and making reservations was easy, the servers were attentive at all of them. Our rooms were gorgeous, each including a hot tub and a hammock on the balcony. Feel asleep there and it was everything. No smoking on the property except at the front or on the beach. The beach itself is a problem due to the sargassum. Very rocky where the resort is and not safe to swim in with the mess. However maybe in another season, and if they ever expand the beach, it would be a plus. Another thing is there isn’t much nightlife except on fifth avenue (which was a wonderful time) but requires you to spend money. Beware on fifth avenue as they charge fraudulent prices. Overall would come again as the pool, the drinks, the staff, the shows, and the pool parties were wonderful. Room was cleaned daily and 24 hour room service was appreciated. See you again Hyatt Vivid!"
