Stayed 6 nights with two teens. The room was fantastic, beds comfy, breakfast AMAZING, hammocks on the beach, paddleboards, kayaks, pool - quiet and laid back but only a short 20 min. golf cart ride to Placencia. We will be back!

This was a lovely place to stay - having a cabana right on the beach meant waking up to the sunrise with waves lapping the shore. The Bistro is exceptional. Dee and Marlin were super helpful in making sure all of our days tours were organized - making the most of our ten days! This accommodation is quite far away from the main village so you need to choose it if you are looking for somewhere away from the busy areas - we felt like we were totally able to decompress so it was perfect for us!

Then pool was very cooling and quite private.d We were very impressed with the amenities that were provided, especially in the kitchen.

What a gem of a hotel. Being on site is like a little oasis of your own oasis. Beautiful pool, beach, dock and a great restaurant. If we come back will definitely be staying here.

Captain Jak's took great care of my wife and me during our recent stay. The staff were incredibly kind, our room was tidy and comfortable, and the housekeeping staff did a great job. We were pleasantly surprised at the amenities we had available to us - we found out we had free access to bicycles during our stay, and we were able to book a private shuttle from Placencia to Belize City at the last minute for a very competitive price. We were treated great from the moment we arrived to the time we checked out. The grounds are beautifully maintained, with a great variety of plants, the entire site is raked to clean up fallen leaves almost daily. The rooms are well maintained and spotless, beds are very comfortable. We enjoyed the quiet beach, hammocks and pool a great deal. Amazing beachfront property in the heart of Placencia. Staff was great and we would recommend staying here if you are going to Placencia. Tons of food and drink options around!

Beautiful large rooms with very comfortable beds. Great location right on the beach and walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Staff are great and helpful. We loved our time at The Ellysian

The room was great. Clean and lots of space. We enjoyed the beach, water was great and sunrises were beautiful!! The staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly. Val was amazing, great helping book us for tours, breakfast and makes THE best pina coladas!! She went above and beyond!

Placentia is a wonderful,quiet location. Hotel is beautiful. Staff fantastic. Food excellent. Beach is small amd contains grass which makes the water murky. Hot tubs broken. Rest of resort just perfect. Staff really out to meet your needs.
