This historical building was great to stay in and very comfortable. We had major problems contacting the hotel and arranging shuttle pick up but it worked out in the end.

We really enjoyed our stay and speaking with the owner. He took us on a tour of the tunnels and a walk around the interesting property. We were only there for one night before transferring to the Galapagos but would have greatly enjoyed another day or two! It was also very easy to arrange transport with Diego before our arrival to Ecuador.

I can’t say enough about the Rincón de Puembo!
We stayed here at the very end of our Ecuador trip. I picked this place to stay because it seemed very relaxing and the rest of our trip had been very busy. My expectations were certainly exceeded!
The place itself is beautiful and tranquil, lots of plants and water features that make it very spa-like. The room is comfortable and clean, with pristine bed linens.

We had an excellent stay. We've stayed at various Hampton Inns in Canada, the US, and Romania, and this one is easily one of the best! It has a great location, with a Megamaxi, La Carolina Park, and QuiCentro all within walking distance. We had a room with two beds that were well furnished with fluffy pillows. the breakfasts were incredible, and the dinner was too, I was met at the airport (prearranged)and transferred quickly as it was 2:30 am. The staff was excellent and the room was very nice and a bit quirky, which I loved.

A very lovely property. Our room was beautiful, quiet and well-equipped. We loved the special touches like the robes and slippers, little chocolates and easy access to a water refilling station on each floor. The attentiveness to safety and security was excellent. There were additional spots in the hotel, such as a third floor room with couches and a beautiful view, and areas on the main floor, where coffee/tea/snacks were on hand each evening.
