"Nice family trip to the beach. The condo was spacious and the primary bedroom was fantastic. The other two bedrooms were small, but were still accommodating. The property is very well maintained. There’s paths to walk on for a nature walk and the beach has some hard sand that makes long walks on the beach very easy to do. There were 6 of us that went and there was plenty of space. Great stay!"

"Discrepancies between listing on VRBO and actual accommodations: refrigerator and microwave were in a common area, NOT in the room, as listed. It was difficult to find the switch for the gas fireplace which was the only heat in the room and it was very cold, window open, when we arrived late in the evening (host was notified of late arrival.) "We booked Hotel Pacific in Monterey at the very last minute, and it turned out to be one of those rare travel surprises where everything exceeds expectations. From the moment we arrived, the property felt warm, inviting, and thoughtfully maintained. The lobby and common areas have a charming, almost boutique-like character, clean, quiet, and pleasantly styled without trying too hard. Our luxury suite was genuinely impressive. The room was spacious, well laid out, and had a cozy fireplace that immediately made the stay feel more elevated. The double beds were comfortable, the balcony added a relaxing outdoor touch, and the overall atmosphere struck a perfect balance between coastal charm and modern comfort. It’s the kind of room where you instantly feel settled, not just accommodated. Despite being a last-minute booking, the service was smooth and friendly, and the hotel never felt overcrowded or chaotic. The location is also ideal, close enough to walk to the waterfront, restaurants, and Cannery Row, yet tucked away just enough to feel peaceful. Hotel Pacific ended up being far nicer than we expected, and it genuinely enhanced our time in Monterey. For anyone looking for a clean, charming, and surprisingly luxurious stay, especially if you’re booking on the fly, this hotel is an easy recommendation."

Casa Munras Garden Hotel & Spa

"The grounds are beautiful and very conveniently located in the down town area~ we were close enough that we could walk to several delicious restaurants but not so near to the main road that the 4th of July parade was disruptive in the morning when we chose to sleep in. There's a heated pool that really comes in handy for those cooler Monterey days and its a very easy drive from the hotel to the aquarium, several beaches, and a nearby target. No microwave in the room but a mini fridge that was great for keeping the drinks we packed cold. We also really liked the split shower tub combo in the bathroom~ the restaurant is very good, though was a little slow the morning we went, and they gave us a coupon for breakfast! The dinner menu was a little too expensive for our taste but every time we walked past and saw people eating the food looked delicious. Oh and another perk, if you like dogs that is, is just how many of them i got to see! Since the place is pet friendly there were plenty of people walking some very sweet pups and everyone was respectful of the leash rules and tidying up after their pets. All in all I would definitely recommend this place and hope to stay here again~"
