Nice modern rooms but too small for more than a day's stay. Wish that the pillows were more comfortable though, the pillows in our room was flat and lumpy. Location and view was great. It's an 8 minute walk to the aquarium. The reception experience was poor from the start, and the room we were given had a strong unpleasant odor. The bedsheets were crumpled and did not feel properly prepared, which made the room feel unclean and uncomfortable. We requested a room change, but the second room was very similar and did not resolve the issues. Because of this, we ended up having to make a last-minute booking at another hotel, return to Wave Inn, and hand back the keys. Front entryway of the room was soaked about 2 ft out, which got my duffle bag/ clothes wet that were near the closet on the floor. Cooler leaked rain water all over the floor and made the carpet wet in that area too. Parking garage drain is clogged so the parking garage started flooding, my shoes and feet were soaked getting to the car. The only redeeming thing is that we asked for extra towels and a pack and play and they brought it no problem.
