"We had a wonderful stay. Although we could not see the ocean, the unit was bright and specious with many new and tasteful amenities. The bed was very comfortable, nice sheets, new thick beach towels. We've stayed in many local rentals that seem tired and worn, but this was a delightful surprise."

"This "hotel" is completely unacceptable, first and foremost because there was no smoke alarm in the room, only the base attached to the wall where the smoke alarm had been. There were some workmen on the property, I spoke to them then waited 2.5 hours, no smoke alarm. There was also a used razor blade on the shower floor and hair all over the place, but that was not a hazard to life like the lack of a smoke alarm in an old wooden hotel undergoing renovation. I had several numbers for the hotel "management" two of which were disconnected, I left messages, sent texts, never had a call back. Expedia should take this place off its website."

"Zack, the host, was readily available and responsive to our questions and requests. We were surprised to find that the access to another unit in the complex was across our patio which was right outside our living area. It was awkward to have strangers coming and going so close to our living quarters and I think this should be disclosed in the rental information. The unit is dated and worn.The kitchen is haphazardly equipped, with old cookware, chipped dishes, a mishmash of wine glasses and cooking utensils. Furnishings were fine, as were beds. The 2nd bathroom down one flight to the pool deck was labeled for our unit, but I think was also used by other renters. I know Hawaii continues to get more and more expensive, but we felt this unit was overpriced for the above stated reasons. "

"First time on oahu! The house is in a great location right across from the beach. My husband and I enjoyed the stay and would definitely return. If renting a vehicle, I would recommend maybe a compact due to tight parking."

"We enjoyed our 5 day stay and especially enjoyed the use of the pool and all the different pool toy equipment. The extras like beach towels and ice chest were also appreciated. The home was clean, spacious and well equipped for our party of 6. The only suggestion is to have at least one extra toilet paper roll in each bathroom, an extra paper towel roll and hand soap for all the sinks. The neighborhood was quiet and the yard was beautiful. Contacting the owners by text made communication easy."

"Hubby and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary on Oahu and were very fortunate to have stayed in La Bella’s Honu (Turtle) Suite! The Honu Suite was cozily put together with a lot of care and thought to make the stay relaxing. All of the basic needs in the bathroom, kitchen area, and sleeping space were provided. Suite was very clean and smelled fresh! I loved the left and right windows of the front door that can be opened up for the fresh Hawaiian air to fill the room. The Honu Suite’s cranking casement and awning windows are definitely a nice touch. The bed was comfortable along with quality bedding, fell asleep fairly quick after being out and about on the beautiful island of Oahu. Breakfast was always fresh and fulfilling! In spite of Mokapu Road being a busy stretch, the location is quiet. The Honu Suite spot is minutes from the base which, as a retired military family, is very helpful for grocery needs as well as recreational assistance. Castle’s beach is a nice short walk or bike ride from the suite. Shopping center right across the bed and breakfast is very convenient. I did enjoy the chickens that comfortably roam on the grass area and trees near Starbucks.The hosts, Shannon & Gabriel, are very welcoming and provided exceptional attention to our needs. Very friendly! Communication was on point. They were attentive to our questions and provided great local recommendations as well as tips to help our stay more enjoyable and worthwhile. "
