"Little Oatlands was the perfect place for our outdoor wedding and we’re very happy we chose it. If you are planning to do the same, and have family stay in the guest house for the weekend, read the contract *carefully*. We skimmed it and failed to realize that you’ll need to take all trash bags to the dumpster by the barn and strip all of the bed sheets and put them downstairs, etc…"

"Communication with owner was outstanding. Updates were very nice. Location was perfect. Very quiet neighborhood. The only thing that we missed, was having a TV in the bedroom. Other than that we had a good time."

"The location was good for us as it was in between Quantico and DC. Pictures are fairly accurate. It is definitely pet friendly. There are stains on the rugs and couch. The bathrooms and bedrooms were clean and comfortable. I would suggest getting a bigger couch to accommodate more guests that could be easily cleaned. This seems to be a common problem in rental property. The host was excellent. He communicates very well and is friendly."

"It was a quick trip to Mt Vernon and we enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was adequate, but could use more silverware and plates. Also needs another kitchen towel or two. We had 7 people eating and eating together as a family was very tight at one table. Thank you."

"We enjoyed our stay at this home! It was well stocked with many complimentary amenities and the neighborhood was peaceful. We felt safe in this area and had great access to shopping, restaurants and grocery stores. Access into DC was easy (an EZ Pass toll tag definitely helps!). We had great communication with the owner. We will definitely stay here again if and when we are in the area!"

"The home has tons of room and is very nice for a group. We were there for my son's TBS graduation and it is very close to the Quantico base, as well as grocery stores and restaurants. We enjoyed having meals together in the kitchen and drinks on the back deck. Would definitely stay here again!"

"Very happy with our stay here recently. I rented this house for a week during the Cherry blossom festival in Washington DC and was very happy with all that it provided. We were less than 5 minutes from the closest metro station which made going back and forth into DC so much easier than having to drive and find parking every day. The house had 4 queen sized beds so we had plenty of room for the whole family and all the amenities were covered. We ate out every night but if we had wanted to cook...

"Lots of lovely space inside and out with ample seating for large groups, both at table and on couches, decks, etc. Plenty of dishes and table ware. Pillows and linens were in good supply also. Natural light is wonderful throughout, but some rooms were lacking in supplemental lighting for evening and morning hours. Our major disappointment was the bedrooms. Two rooms were super comfortable but the 2 rooms with double bunk beds had very squeaky, metal frames with thin mattresses. These didn’t work...

"My wife and I were looking for a quick weekend getaway and found this beautiful historic house and it was perfect! The home is charming, cozy and warm. It was super clean (and smelled amazing) with all the modern amenities you would want. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need to whip up a meal and the beds were super comfy when you ate too much of it. The backyard is completely fenced in, which was great with our little pups, and beautiful at night with the bistro lights hung...

"Stayed here for 3 nights with my partner and his 81 year old mother while we attended graduation events at GMU. This apartment is perfect, and the hosts have thoughtfully provided just about anything a family could need for a comfortable stay--books, games, lots of extra blankets and pillows, even a guitar! The bedroom connects to the bathroom, which also can be entered from the living space, which is great for guests who might be sleeping on one of the sofa beds. The sidewalk to the basement...

"Property seems to be “mixed use” apartment complex. Some set up as hotel-like short term units and other for long term renters. (maybe section 8 tenants). The unit was as described. Clean and comfortable. Walking to and from the car was a bit anxiety provoking marijuana smoke every where and old unfinished portions of cigars and cigarette butts ever where."
