The residences are located on Carondelet Street one block off St. Charles Street. Just adjacent to everything the Garden District offers in NOLA. This Spacious 3 Bedroom 2.5 Bath Courtyard residence has spacious Kitchen Living and Dining area downstairs complete with a half Bath. The 3 Bedrooms and 2 Baths are located on the second level along with a Balcony that overlooks the Courtyard. The secure gated compound layout has a large private courtyard shared by all units as well as a shared swimming pool. Six of the units are new construction and four of the units are modern updates of a turn of the century structure. Complete with recessed lighting and granite countertops. All units have century-old wood flooring and updated appliances and the newer units have exquisite quartz countertops. Street car - Residences Du Carondelet sits within one block of St. Charles Street Car Lines. Residents can step out the door and ride North through Mid-City to City Park or West through the CBD uptown to the Garden District, the Universities, and the Carrollton neighborhood. CBD - Residences Du Carondelet is situated at the walking distance Central Business District (CBD). Originally known as the "Faubourg St. Marie", the CBD was the site of the city's first expansion outside of its original French Quarter boundaries in 1803. We could go one direction to the French Quarter and the other to the Garden District. The space is great for a family. Unfortunately, the beds are quite uncomfortable and the furnishings aren't adequate for the number of people it can accommodate. This is not clear in the write up and was a little difficult on some of our family members staying. 2) The master King bed was a thumbs down and definitely needs replacing. 3) Middle bedroom mattress is on its last leg too and should be replaced. 4) The TV in the living room never stayed connected and always required rebooting to find the router when you wanted to watch. It was a great location, walking distance to shops and food. Cool little courtyard which would be great for multiple groups to stay in. Unfortunately the king size bed was so uncomfortable no one slept in it. My husband slept on the couch while I slept with my two toddlers in the guest bed. I would have given five stars if it wasn’t for that. It was basically a wasted bed. I would not stay there again because of this.
