The place is however in need of a deep clean as it’s older and in New Orleans it probably accumulates dust easily. We didn’t cook much but we noticed the kitchen had bare minimum cooking tools. I actually bought a pot holder because i couldn’t find one. The location was great the owner is very kind. He recommended great places. We didn’t receive check out task or instructions so we just picked up trash and did what we assumed was necessary prior to leaving. I had a great time with my boyfriend. The refridgerator does not work. It was warm and the freezer was cool. We kept things cold in the wine fridge. The building does not have great insulation - you can hear everything on the block with the ac on full blast and the tv on. The bed was very comfortable and the apartment was quaint. At some point I messaged the host to ask what the address was because if you dive deep into this listing, you will find two different addresses. He said he would post it 30 days prior to my arrival. Ok! Fair enough, however, when he posted it, it was still the wrong address and on the day of my arrival I had to contact him for the check-in information. It is two blocks from Bourbon Street in the French Quarter. It is on the ground floor. AC works and there is hot water.It is advertised as "one queen bed and a large twin sofa bed" It does NOT have a sofa "bed" The black sofa you can barely make out it the photos on VRBO is not the one in the apartment. It is a couch that you are sleeping on not a bed/sofa bed. It does not pull out to make a bed, it is NOT comfortable, it is NOT as advertised. There is a smell in the apartment, it has no shower curtain and the shower head is clogged with hard water so water sprays on the floor, no towel racks (one towel hook), no toilet paper holder, and the bathroom sink doesn’t drain well. No working remote control (or pull chains) to turn off the ceiling fan in the living room, rendering the light in the living room useless (it was too cold at nights to use a fan so couldn’t use the light). There is peeling paint on the walls and bathroom floor and it has painted concrete floors (not carpet, tile or wood flooring) so it is cold in there.
