Good location for Uptown St John at an excellent price value for the proximity. Absolutely would book this again.

Old building but really neat and historical looking. We got a single room, which had a double bed and a small couch. The bathroom is small. No way two people could get ready at one time. It has a really cool bar/restaurant which is super convenient; however, the World Cup was going on, so the bar was packed and SO LOUD! We were on the first floor, right above the bar, and you could hear everything. They also had live music (one guy with a guitar), which was also pretty loud. Thankfully, both things got over relatively early. Speaking of loud, the window fan is very noisy, and we only had it set on 2 out of 10. Overall, I would recommend it for the location and the on-site bar/restaurant, which also has a great patio. It has on-site parking, which was great. I really loved the way the building is set up with the bar/restaurant/patio. I might request a room on a higher floor, just because of the noise.

The initial greeting at reception was excellent and simple. The room was quiet with easy access to the elevator. Breakfast was available but when we arrived for breakfast there was a crush of people jamming the lobby. probably with a bus tour would have been nice to know that in advance. as a result there were no tables available so we settled for a coffee a couple of muffins and a yogurt back in our room. TV reception for many channels was horrendous, either stop:start wifi like delays evident and rendering the program unwatchable. Thankfully there were World Cup channel worked fine. Not the best location to access downtown by foot.

This is one of my favorite B&Bs ever! From the moment I arrived, I was made to feel welcome. The entire staff are so helpful, friendly and ready to help. I stayed in the Harmony room with a spectacular view out onto sea cliffs in the distance. The room was spacious and so artfully decorated. It was like a personal retreat. Each area-the dining room, parlor with piano, pub, entrance invite you to linger and converse with guests, locals and staff. Each morning, Paul the owner, would welcome me and offer very helpful suggestions of how to plan my day to take best advantage of the area. The Fundy Trail is à must-spectacular! Their included breakfast board was incredible! I added a bowl of yogurt and they provided me with a box to take my croissant, ham and cheese for lunch. Little helpful touches make it so special. Dinners are equally delicious with lots to choose from-I loved each of my 3 dinners. The beach is just a 2 minute walk and so lovely to see the changing tides and light playing off the cliffs. Saint Martins is a hidden gem-the locals are so friendly, easy going. Strolling down to the little harbor to a quaint coffee shop with delicious pastries, an afternoon treat from Octopus Icecream! Kayak to sea caves. Stunning hikes. What made this stay exceptional was the staff. Thank you so much to each of you-Kelesey, Clare, Janelle, Alex, Kamisha and owner Paul. As a solo traveler, you made me feel right at home. I will definitely come back. Thank you all! Lynn

Très bon rapport qualité/prix. Petit hôtel soigné, chaleureux, très bon petit déjeuner, chambre impeccable, lits confortables. Manque juste une piscine... et une réparation du plafond du bain, endommagé par l'humidité, mais pas (encore) de moisissures. Expérience à refaire, merci!
