This is an old, historical hotel. Plugs were missing a lot in the bedrooms and wifi was not working properly. Breakfast far too expensive. Otherwise, the rest was ok.

Bonjour, J'ai connu la plus désagréable de mes séjours dans cet hotel. Arrivé à l'hotel le 28 Janvier au soir après un vol en provenance de Dar Es Salaam. Plus d'une heure pour le check in. On me demande de payer un supplément de 40$ pour mon ami parce que la chambre a été réservée pour 1 seule personne. Toutes les Nuits, un gardien est posté à notre étage, devant notre porte pour voir s'il y a bien une seule personne dans la chambre. Alors qu'on est sur une formule bed and breakfast, à chaque petit déjeuner, on nous apporte une facture à payer. A chaque Entrée/Sortie on est questionné, importuné. Le WiFi est de mauvaise qualité, voir ne passe pas très souvent.

Un hotel très bien et extrement bien placé au centre ville, un des mieux je pense, le personnel est gentil, la chambre un peu vieillotte, par contre je remercie Hotels.com, car la réservation n'a pas été validée, heureusement il y avait de la place mais nous avons perdu du temps et avons été contrariés par cela en arrivant.

I thought every staff member I met was friendly and helpful; always greeting me with a smile. My room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom needs upgrading but all amenities were provided. The pool area is lovely and inviting. The gym also needs upgrading and is a bit cramped. The building itself is charming. Hotel is located in downtown which is quite busy and noisy but not where the tourist attractions are located but Ubers are readily .

Let me start off by saying... WOW. This was my first visit to Kenya, and I feel like I could not have picked a better hotel. "Property condition & facilities" only got 4 stars because they are renovating so I had to go to their sister hotel to use the pool, which also means the gym was temporarily closed. At the top of the endless list of positives: THE STAFF. I cannot say enough about the staff and how incredible every single staff member was that I encountered. I felt loved, respected, seen, cared for, and welcomed during every minute of the 4 days I was there. Eunice, Emily, Emily, Kendra, Sarah, Boneface, Beatrice, Beatrice, Samuel, Richard, Edgar... the list goes on.. and they were all SPECTACULAR! I felt like I was a part of the family. My heart was full of joy and love the entire time I was there because of the staff. The management is strong and extremely personable. The front desk staff members are dedicated, thoughtful and attentive. The concierge/porter team is friendly, quick, observant, and charming. The dining team and the kitchen team are engaging, delightful, invested and joyous. And lastly, the housekeeping team was warmhearted, hard-working and cheerful. In addition to the staff, the room I stayed in was perfect, clean and very comfortable! AND the food from the dining room not only met my expectations but exceeded them! Definitely get the breakfast option! Honestly, I cannot wait to go back. They made my trip a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
