The staff at Reception were very good and helpful. I was disappointed that we were allowed to use the Library or the honesty bar and weren't supplied with robes in our room because we didn't have a Superior Room. We paid a lot for our room for 5 nights and when we were denied access to these things it made us feel inferior. It was our 50th wedding anniversary and also my birthday during our stay and we were very disappointed in our meal in the dining room. We told the waiter that it was a...

A traditional country pub with great service from friendly staff. The room was comfortable and good value for money. If you don’t eat here you will miss out as the food is extremely good, far better than many places on our trip. Will definitely stay again.

This was a lovely hotel in a very well located position, check in, check out all automated. So we didn’t actually see any staff. That was a little odd, but we didn’t need any additional assistance so worked for us.

A lovely place to stay, close to Harrogate and all its facilities. Super friendly host, very helpful.
Unfortunately, their carvery is only open Thursday to Sunday so we weren’t able to sample the food, but the restaurant and bar area looked very inviting and I’m sure that if we had been able to we’d have enjoyed a fine meal there

The Newton House is a lovely little property for visitors to Knaresborough. It's a period Georgia house with additional rooms from the converted carriages houses at the back. We actually stayed in these rooms are lovely and bigger than the rooms in the main building. One of the highlights is the available sitting room and the included breakfasts. The breakfast experience is reminscient of the traditional dining experience fitting for this historic part of Yorkshire.

Great spot and great evening meal. Check in is a bit awkward when there is a big crowd or function going on. Room was unique design and cozy but cold upon arrival. Be careful in the bathroom as the shower is open and the whole floor becomes very slippery. Breakfast was disappointing as the chef did not show up. Porridge was served with berries that were still frozen and the croissants were served very cold.
