Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Castle Inn. It has friendly and helpful staff with a good atmosphere. We didn’t like that we kept hearing a door banging downstairs at night until the bar closed (reported).

We were visiting my daughter in the village, third time we've stayed - the breakfast option has changed which was disappointing - previously there was a continental buffet but now it is like a cafe where you choose and pay for each item and no buffet even for juice, toast etc. The housekeeping was not good with the room only being refreshed properly on 1 of the 4 days but on request someone dealt with it. The staff are nice and it is very relaxing.

Hotel was okay, except a warning/hazard light in the room flashed bright white like a flash gun every 30 secs for much of the night from 11pm onwards? No idea why? I am a heavy sleeper but lightning flashes of white light was not nice. Other than that for one night it was fine. The staff were nice, and I was comfortable.

The bedrooms were themed, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The restaurant and bar were also nicely decorated and inviting and had a good christmas vibe. The food was also good although a bit more choice would have been nice particularly for plain eaters.

Good Stay
My husband and I spent an o/n at the Castle Inn, the young man on Receptoon was very kind. We had a very welcome meal, after a waring day at a funeral, the waitrese was charming. Only one little thing the bathroom just needed a steam clean, or a lick of paint. Having said that we enjoyed our stay, refreshed for our journey North. Many Thanks.

Great spot and great evening meal. Check in is a bit awkward when there is a big crowd or function going on. Room was unique design and cozy but cold upon arrival. Be careful in the bathroom as the shower is open and the whole floor becomes very slippery. Breakfast was disappointing as the chef did not show up. Porridge was served with berries that were still frozen and the croissants were served very cold.
