Huge water bugs-two in the room. Rude staff. We decided to finish our vacation at a Hilton property after excellent stays in Doubletrees in New York, Lancaster, PA, and Chicago. I looked to this resort for the kid friendly things it has. The property is beautiful, but I was truly disappointed by the little things. I felt some of the staff was a bit condescending-like when I asked the lifeguard at the kids' water park when they would reopen and he rudely said when they were done with it. The biggest thing was how after waiting 3+ hours for our room (which we understand, we were early and were upgraded by Michele who is great), I was told I had room 316 AC and after almost 10 minutes trying to open it with all our stuff in the hallway, in the sweltering heat, kids being bitten by mosquitoes, I texted the help desk number and was told our room was actually 313! That to me is such a silly mistake that made it so uncomfortable for us. Again, not complaining about anything major, but it's the little things. I was so appreciative of the bigger 2 bedroom, but the kids ended up still sleeping on the pull out because they want to be near us, I couldn't find the sheets and called the front desk at almost 12am and the staff was a bit rude in their response as well, saying I had to ask for the sheets if I wanted them, which is fine, but I don't appreciate the tone in which it was said. Michele was the only person that was kind and professional.
