I've stayed at Richmond Hotels before, everything was perfect. Great staff, nice spacious modern room, right next to station, shopping and restaurants

This resort has an amazing location with a gorgeous view of Lake Hibara and Mt. Bandai, and the Five Colored Ponds. Their staff members are very formal and friendly and has a great restaurant buffet. The rooms and building itself are in okay condition with some scuffs and stains, but overall an excellent place with a very unique gift store with great items like food, snacks, and gifts. The traditional Japanese room is very nice

Laundry room was closed and it did not open on a date that they indicated it would open. Having me to struggle for alternative laundry solutions.

The hotel is situated in a beautiful location, surrounded by nature (if you don’t have a car then it takes a couple of hours to see the local sights). The rooms are traditional with great views, and super authentic. The set dinners and breakfasts are the best I’ve had, and were something to look forward to. There is a selection of onsens including the opportunity to hire private ones for those who aren’t confident of sharing more public pools. A highlight of the trip so far
