"Overall, our family had a great stay at this house. The location on the lake, neighborhood, home and grounds were exactly what I was after; a place more secluded from lots of other people, in a nice neighborhood, quite cove and in a nice home. Even the year-round neighbors were nice and courteous with a visit from one of their dogs from time to time. The house was overall very nice as well. The kitchen wasn't fully equipped to do a lot of cooking, but the majority of the essentials were there....

"Wonderful long range lake views from every room in the house really make this home an amazing experience. The weather was hot but nice so we spent a good deal of time fishing off the dock with some nice catches including 2 huge Catfish and the biggest Bream I've ever seen. The 2 nice screened porches were great in the cooler times of day. A great 5 days here and would definitely return. "

"For once this VRBO is as good as the pictures make it look. Check in process was easy. An intro PDF was also sent with instructions for entry, making it very straight forward. Reserved parking spot in a parking lot that is well lit. Convenient location. The restaurant in the “back yard” has a good selection for easy dining and there are events there also if you’re interested. Sometimes the music/ noise was a little loud but not late enough to keep us from sleeping. Linens were very high...

"Okay, if you want to be close to downtown Elkin (restaurants, shops, theater) and want to have a comfy, practical home base, this is your spot. This was our second stay here (and we plan to stay here again and again). The owners and support staff deserve all five stars in all the categories above. Got to explore Elkin more this time and enjoyed the trails (with foot bridges) and the vineyards and the Reeves Theater (music venue). Restaurants in downtown Elkin are great in terms of quality...
