The best time to visit Miyakojima is from April to June or from September to October, when the weather is warm and pleasant for outdoor activities, but you avoid the peak summer crowds and typhoon season.

April to June offers comfortable temperatures, typically ranging from 24°C to 28°C, making it ideal for exploring the island's beaches and natural beauty without excessive heat or humidity. The ocean is warm enough for swimming and snorkeling, and the island is generally less crowded than in July and August.

September and October also provide excellent conditions. The summer heat begins to subside, and the average temperatures are still around 25°C to 29°C. The water remains warm, great for marine activities, and the island sees fewer visitors after the summer holidays, offering a more relaxed experience. While there's a slight chance of typhoons during these months, they are generally less frequent and intense than in August.

For those who prefer a livelier atmosphere and don't mind higher temperatures, July and August are also popular, though they bring more crowds and the highest risk of typhoons.
