It was new and modern. We had the King Suite and the new layout was great!

This was the WORST experience I’ve ever had renting a home. We had a family member pass away in a tragic accident and had to fly from Colorado to California last minute. We wanted someplace to stay that was comfortable and close to the water and this place fit the bill. We flew into California on Friday evening and planned to be at the property Saturday and Sunday, after the funeral, to rest and relax. After the funeral on Saturday and spending time with friends and family, we were mentally and physically depleted and ready to check in to the property. When I called asking for directions, I was told that it wasn’t available, that Expedia should not be advertising it for rent. My husband was very upset and arguing with the property host/representative. She informed him that it wasn’t occupied at the time, but we still couldn’t stay there. She blamed it on Expedia and said they don’t usually rent it for such a short stay. This left us exhausted on Saturday evening of Labor Day weekend, trying to find an open room to stay in. We ended up finding a room at a local hotel that was not a great experience and ended with my husband slipping in their tub and getting a concussion. WORST EXPERIENCE!!!!

Nice location close to the beach. Restaurants close to the hotel. Pool is nice and heated. My only concern was the parking. Valet is next to the hotel. Paid parking was at the park entrance about a half mile away from the hotel. You then drive to a structure that is not attached to the hotel but one building away from the it’s fine if you don’t have much luggage as it’s a short walk,however we ended up parking on the third level our second night there and the elevator does not work. Had I known, I’d have opted for valet on our first night. Not good for someone with bad knees. Structure is operated by the city. Lots of construction happening so the close driveway was blocked which is why you drive so far to enter. Had I known, I’d have stayed elsewhere. When it’s finished, I’m sure it will be fine.
