"This brand new conversion to an Aviator Suites is the best conversion in which I've ever stayed. The entire hotel property from the exterior to every fixture and piece of furniture was brand new or overhauled. The airport location is a quick car drive from Mendenhall Glacier, Auke Bay (ferry / harbor), and downtown with each less than ten minutes away so you can pack everything in to some long Alaskan summer days. The blackout shades were a very nice touch given those long days. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. If flying in to the Juneau airport, the hotel is directly after the terminal parking before the cell phone waiting lot. Rental cars or taxis are available at the airport, but you can also walk to grab a delicious diner-style breakfast, lunch, or dinner at Donna's Restaurant immediately behind the hotel. I would highly recommend you stay at this property or another Aspen affiliate when heading to Alaska."

"We had a lovely stay at Auke Bay studio. It was so quiet. The view of the bay was a beautiful interest point and background. There are binoculars so you can scan the bay and get close ups of the eagles and kingfishers. The bed was comfortable and black out shades perfect for the Juneau Summer. We could barely hear the Juneau fireworks in the distance (on July 4th, a day late this year due to rain). The french doors were perfect for when only one person wanted to sleep. The kitchen was adequate for cooking meals and stocked with coffee+grinder (a surprise!) and a french press + coffee maker. I was concerned about wifi because I was taking an online class with a proctored exam while on vacation and I had no issues with the test or streaming movies. The studio is 4 minutes from Auke lake for a leisurely/safe hike so I could go solo while the partner was out fishing. Our host was gracious and responsive. Being in town for a HS reunion, we had prior experience with Juneau but know she is a resource for travelers new to the area. We would definitely stay again."

"From check in to checkout our experience there was phenomenal. They were super receptive on the phone to answer questions about their shuttle service. We even had to do a very early morning shuttle at 3 AM for our flight and they accommodated that early time AND included offering us homemade breakfast burritos to take with us because we would be missing the continental breakfast. They had an enormous assortment of snacks and fresh fruit offering bottles of water and free coffee and tea for the entire day as well. We ordered takeout food for dinner and she provided us with plates, napkins, and utensils to enjoy that in the dining room. It was lovely to sit on the front porch and just watch cars go by as well as I could hear bald eagles in the background and ravens in the trees. Beautiful property very clean and probably the best place I’ve ever stayed."

"A lovely stay in comfortable surroundings, with a beautiful view! John’s breakfasts were something to look forward to, and the family raved about the tour of the fish (salmon) hatchery that he gave them. We would definitely stay here again, John was a wonderful and helpful host."
