John was a wonderful host and we enjoyed our stay. He made sure we had all the comforts of home, coffee, chocolates for smores and home baked cookies. The property was easy to find and a great location just outside of the Juneau traffic. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the Bald Eagles and sea birds. The view was amazing and the firepit was an excellent touch! Thank you John for a great stay!
We really enjoyed our stay at Eagle’s Watch Bed & Breakfast! Not only did we sleep soundly & had lovely different gourmet breakfasts each morning, but we also watched whales breaching and blowing different mornings, and a pair of eagles to watch in a nearby tree! John was an amazing host…lovely place; delicious food; wonderful sleep! We will definitely come back to stay again!
This place was the same as described. The view was fantastic. The host was an exceptional host. The breakfasts were good and always a surprise. The homemade cookies were a treat.
Great location. Great view. Chatty host. Nice to have a freshly cooked breakfast on our time served in the unit. Rotting salmon and noisy seagulls added to the marine atmosphere! And the weather couldn’t have been nicer.
John greeted us when we arrived. He is very likable and knowledgeable. He made breakfast every morning and they were outstanding. John was one of the best parts of our stay. However, the lakeside view of the mountains could not have been more beautiful and the location lives up to its name because we saw several bald eagles fly close to us.
Host was great - communicated well. Had homemade cookies and muffins ready for us. He was very helpful with transportation options when we had flight delays. Appreciated recommendations on places to eat and things to do.
Property was clean, cozy and just what we needed. View of the bay and covered back porch was amazing - would have liked to spend more evenings sitting outside enjoying the fire pit overlooking the water. Watching the birds in the morning was lovely.
Our 8 days in Juneau were made comfortable and informative by our host John. The great things about the house are it is clean and comfortable and has the most fantastic view, which can even be enjoyed in the rain because its covered. John is an excellent chef and made sure our breakfast was unique everyday, he even made a birthday cake for one of the ladies in our party. John also provided us with a tour of the salmon hatchery. Highly recommend, and can't wait to go back.
Property is a special place. Quiet beautiful view of Auke Bay. John has the property filled with thoughtful touches. He went above and beyond to help us with our frozen fish. We also really enjoyed his cookies and breakfasts and S’mores at night. Everything is clean and well maintained. We would love to return.
John’s property is everything that was described in the reviews. We had a wonderful breakfast every morning and getting to know John was a wonderful experience. John is very knowledgeable about the Juneau area and we enjoyed getting to know him. We will recommend his Bed and Breakfast to everyone. Thank you John for your wonderful hospitality and we all enjoyed our conversations with you. If we ever go back to Juneau we wouldn’t stay any where else.
Both bedrooms have an incredible view of the bay. Birds and the soothing sound of the waves are the background sounds from the patio, while you decide which time of day offers the most breathtaking view. John catered to our group and we enjoyed his property immensely. Breakfast the next morning was the topper and we wished we didn’t have to leave. If we ever return to Juneau for more than a day trip his listing will be the first I investigate, and we’d plan our activities around it’s availability for booking as anywhere else will surely be a disappointment.

Everything about Eagles Watch is remarkable! Let's start with the host: John is incredible. He loves this property and sets you up to love it, too. He bakes fresh cookies and makes wonderful breakfasts! The home: warm, spacious and set up for fun! We spent hours on the patio, around the firepit - watching eagles soar and fight for fish; boats leaving and returning to the marina. A quick drive into Juneau or Mendenhall glacier. Restaraunts, breweries and services are all close. We will return to Eagles Watch any time we return to Juneau, which we hope will be soon!!
We had a wonderful stay at this location. Beautiful view, Saw eagles, seals, beautiful yachts moored out front.
This is a great location from which to explore Juneau.
Mr George was a wonderful host. He fixed a yummy breakfast each day. He always had cookies and candy out in the afternoon when we returned from our excursions.
He offered to take us in a tour of the salmon hatchery that my granddaughters thoroughly enjoyed.
I had a low tire on my rental car which he filled with air. Much appreciated.
I definitely recommend this B&B and would certainly stay there again.
We couldn't have chosen a more beautiful location! It's right on the water. Every morning, we got up and drank our coffee on the patio soaking in the absolute most beautiful view imaginable. Bald eagles live in the trees on the property and soar past regularly. Salmon jump in the water right in front of you. The owner of the property (we called him Juneau John) is very kind and full of Alaskan history. The home is perfectly clean and very comfortable. We have a family of five. The linens and towels smelled so fresh. We also relaxed on the patio every night with the fire pit. Definitely one of our most relaxing and favorite vacations! You'll want to rent a car because it's outside of town, and it's so worth it to be able to drive around. Five star home and host!
Fantastic location and John is a wonderful host! The house is very comfortable and he has provided everything you could need, including a great breakfast each day!
We had 4 nights at Eagles Watch and our host John, was awesome. Not only a wealth of information, but a great cook who served us daily breakfast along with sharing stories and information about Juneau. The number of eagles who graced us with their daily presence was incredible. A cozy, comfortable, clean place that was the perfect first part of our Alaskan journey. Thank you John for everything!! We hope to be back!!

John the host is attentive, affable and informative. He prepares excellent and tasty breakfasts. Also fully supplies you with S'mores for the small pit fire outside and
an "endless" oatmeal cookies. Definitely staying again on next trip to Juneau
Amazing location on Auke Bay with beautiful views of the harbour. The place was immaculate and John was an amazing host. Our every need was cartered to and he was a wealth of information about Juneau and Alaska. He even served as our guide to the Hatchery and picked us up at the airport as we arrived after the car rental was closed. Cant recommend Eagles Watch highly enough.
We make a trip to Juneau every summer to fish. This year we were unable to get into one of our regular spots , and we found John’s B&B. This has become our favorite place to stay in Juneau, and we will absolutely return. John makes amazing breakfasts and you will definitely not be disappointed. He also made sure there were s’mores and drinkable treats for the kids. Everything was first class from check in to check out. There were five of us and it was very comfortable for everybody.
The accommodations were great-two separated bedrooms and two excellent baths. With three days of wet/muddy hiking, we greatly appreciated the large washer and dryer.
The patio with fire pit and chairs is covered, so we were able to spend the long evenings outdoors enjoying the view of Auden Bay. One evening there were 9 bald eagles on the beach below the house and an immature eagle settled into the tree adjacent to where we were sitting.
Breakfasts were great as well-thanks John!
Wonderful host.
We will be back!
