It is a very nice and new apartment-hotel. In the same building are residents/tenants and hotel guests (I think the hotel got a couple of apartments in the building, while the rest are sold/rented).
You drive into the parking lot for Rise residents, park on the 4th floor garage where there are signs posted for new residents and take an elevator to the 13th floor to get your keys from the designated lock boxes hanging on the wall.
Since the building is the tallest structure around, every apartment has a wonderful view (unless you end up with a lower level apartment). We were on the 23rd floor and had an unobstructed view from all the rooms.
The apartment is new and very clean. You have everything you need to be at home, including cooking utensils, cutleries, stove, oven, microwave, fridge, toaster and washer dryer (detergent provided). The bathrooms are generously sized and toiletries are better than average. The only nit (very minor) is some of the finish in our apartment was poor - there were gaps in some of the floor planks
You get your own wifi. Our issue was the wifi name listed on the board near the front door was incorrect. Apparently someone failed to rename the network and password to what they should be (as stated on the board). I figured it out by switching off the router and using the default password
Very convenient with Whole Foods and restaurants around the corner. Also an 20min drive to the National Mall
