« Il nous aura fallu 3 chambres : la première le chauffage était à fond et impossible de le baisser ou d’aérer, la seconde le plafond des toilettes n’avait plus de plâtre et de l’eau coulait au travers, la 3e était la bonne. L’hôtel semble avoir été réhabilité mais tout n’a pas été repris ce qui donne une impression de travaux inachevés voire mal faits. Heureusement le personnel s’est montré compréhensif et est charmant. »

« We had the most wonderful stay at Blackwell House in Scarva! From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome — nothing was too much trouble. The house itself is absolutely beautiful, full of charm and character, with every little detail thought of to make guests feel at home.
