"I would give Monarch Mt Cabin 10 stars if I could. The neighborhood is beautiful with mountain views every way you look. There is a delightful stream running behind the cabin and a fire pit and picnic table nearby to enjoy it. The cabin was spacious and clean. The host provided generous amenities, cookware, utensils, and much more. There are endless activities in the area. It's a short drive to downtown Salida where there is shopping and restaurants and the river runs through the downtown...

"The location was central to Monarch and Salida, which is where we wanted to be. The living area was great for our group of 4. Nice deck with great view of the mountains. Kitchen was well stocked. We stayed in the master bedroom and it had plenty of room and the bed was comfortable. The only negative was a strong smell of urine in the master br. Not sure if it was from the septic or a past animal. The management co was notified and they were going to address it. "

"My husband and I booked this cabin to stay in while visiting local family. The cabin is well made with a nice porch/ deck. We enjoyed hearing the babbling water nearby and the nice Mountain View. "Possibly my favorite vrbo stay I can remember. The cabin is secluded, has great views and is close to several interesting sites: St. Elmo ghost town, Mt. Princeton Hot Springs, Cascasde falls and Agnes Veille falls to name a few. The property itself was clean, comfortable and well stocked. We enjoyed eating breakfast outside on the picnic table, sitting on the breezy patio in the evening, grilling dinner and most of all sitting in the hot tub under the starry sky."

"Spent 4 nights in mid-August and thoroughly enjoyed it! Katie is a gracious host, answering questions before arrival and greeting us with a quick overview when we checked in. "Really enjoyed our five day stay in Salida. We’ve tried a couple of different rental homes in town over the past few years and Dunwell Cottage is the best. Great location, close to the river and downtown activities, and easy walking distance to the Little Red Hen bakery and the Farmers Market. The cottage is clean and comfortable, and the backyard is perfect for reading and socializing. Wish the TV had cable. "

"We were in Salida for a week, celebrating our son's wedding. My sister and her husband shared the condo with us. It's a beautiful, functional layout. It was so nice to have a well appointed kitchen. We sat on the deck enjoying the river, rafters and kayakers. We had plenty of space for my other siblings to drop by for coffee and a chat. It was the first time we've been together since the pandemic. A wonderful homebase for a memory making time. Thank you Pinon"

"We were in Salida to fish the Arkansas. Unfortunately for us, the river flow had been increased substantially a couple of days earlier, making wading almost impossible. But we adapted and had a good time fishing. The house was perfect for us to bed down at night."
