"The views were amazing and the access to the local trails were unbeatable. The AC didn’t work in our unit, but the night air was cool. We are used to that in more remote and cabin locations. We left the door open and let the night air come in through the screen door. Overall, we were extremely pleased with our stay."

"Beautiful cabin inside and out. Super peaceful sitting on the deck looking at the mountain and listening to all the birds. Beautiful sunsets. Perfect cabin to spend a few days in to get away."

"Very comfortable stay for a couple and dog. Having a washing machine and dryer on vacation was a nice perk. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fenced yard for the dog. I wish I had known there were so many small stairs in the house (as the dog and I have bad knees). There was hand and dish soap and paper towels, but no bathroom toiletries in case you forgot.I loved how well the space was used! It's a small house but well equipped. I was surprised to find there are plenty of places to sit outside and enjoy your morning coffee. Great stay, I would recommend to others."

"I loved this place. I looked online after much research and found this location. I was so happy with it. The views are so beautiful, it is clean and wonderfully decorated, and it was very convient to the town of Luray and also to the Luray Caverns and Skyline Drive. I would highly recommend staying here if you want a clean, comfortable, and beautiful getaway."

Romantic River Front cabin,Close to Luray

"We stayed in the Gander for our first wedding annivery! This property was beautiful (but needed landscaping, the view was largely blocked by invasive plants), the amenities (hot tub, kayaks, cornhole boards, etc) were thoughtful, and the hosts were communicative and helpful. It stormed for a lot of our weekend but we LOVED our evenings on the covered porch in the rocking chairs. The ac units worked very well and the whole place was clean. However, at almost 700 for three nights, I think this cabin was lacking in comfort. The beds were hard, the pillows were incredibly thin, and the couch could use replacing. There were no throw blankets or pillows, soft lighting in the main spaces, etc to make the space feel more cozy and welcoming. I think it'd make a world of difference to upgrade the bedding and add some little touches here and there, without losing the rustic charm, but I certainly *would* recommend this cabin to a friend after those changes were made."

"The house and property were wonderful. Clean, comfortable, and cozy. There were clean linens, towels,basic cleaning supplies, china and cutlery all provided. The location was perfect, about 10 minutes from a nice central town with things to do and easy accessibility. The hot tub was very relaxing on a quiet night and the house stayed chilled and dark during the middle of July. The host, Kristen, was excellent and very responsive to any inquires and went out of her way to help address a billing issue.I cannot recommend this host and property enough."
