We had a wonderful stay at the charming boutique hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable experience. The decor was beautifully curated, with thoughtful details and unique touches that gave the property a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the room was spotless and well maintained.
The check-in process was seamless and efficient, and the staff, although offsite, were attentive and responsive throughout our stay. We also greatly appreciated the complimentary room upgrade, which was an added touch making our experience even more enjoyable.
The location was another highlight with convenient access to local restaurants and points of interest.
Overall, this hotel combines character, comfort, cleanliness, and excellent service exceptionally well. It’s a true gem and we would happily stay here again!!!!
This hotel is probably the best in Luray. It is an older/maybe historic building that has been restored. But, the old windows as cute as they are - just don’t block the noise of the street (they do provide earbuds to block out noise, though). The windows are well insulated so we were there on a couple of above average temperature days- so the a/c just wasn’t able to ever really cool’s down the room. BUT, it is within walking distance of a great restaurant (Porch & Vine) for dinner and coffee (Broad Porch) and Greenway and Brewery.
My husband and I loved the unique Hotel Laurance. It is so beautiful and well done. Our room had a lovely kitchen, sitting area and bedroom. The building is old, but completely renovated and has no elevator. We did have to walk up a flight of steps to the 2nd floor and then a few steps in front of the door to our room. The hotel and room were very clean and quiet. Jenn, the manager, was always available to answer any questions I had and the self check in process was very easy to do. We wish we could have stayed longer. Hope to travel in the area again sometime just so we can stay there again!
Loray Caverns and Shenandoah Park are both nearby. Beautiful boutiquey inn, large rooms, soft upscale bedding tastefully decorated and clean. Road noise was noticeable and a sound machine could help with a more enjoyable sleep. No elevator so be prepared for hauling your baggage up stairs.
Luray is the perfect location for Shenandoah National Park, only 15mins drive away from the entrance at Mile 31.
The hotel is a lovely historic combination of character and modern luxury. The internet speed is good, the TV is Smart and the rooms are well equipped.
My only criticism is noise, you can hear people in the adjoining room and the trains that run through Luray make a load warning siren, even in the middle of the night.
Beautiful historic building filled with interesting antiques and books. Owner was so warm and welcoming. Loved the location right on Main Street with great shopping, dining and an awesome little movie theater. Plus the room was beautifully decorated with the most comfortable bed! Highly recommended!!
Great place to stay! Super clean and well maintained. The decor is historic boutique at its best. Lots of charming touches. There is an outdoor terrace and a communal sitting area with coffee, chess boards, and lots of historic books. My kids loved the loft bed. It felt like a second bedroom to them with their own space.
When searching for place to stay to visit Shenandoah and Luray Caverns, most were bed and breakfast type places, cabins that looked old and not clean, or roadside motels. This is truly a gem amongst them.
Seamless check-in and check-out. Food places within walking distance. Highly recommend.
The manager, Jenn, was super easy to communicate with over text. She truly cares about this place and it shows.
FYI the hotel is not staffed. You get a code via text to open your room. Totally fine. Stayed at the "Tucker Room." The room was very clean, had a kitchen, and well maintained. For housekeeping you simply leave the sign on the door in the morning. However the only downside was that the cable/internet service is horrible. The internet is spotty, slow, and constantly disconnecting. Moreover there is no cable TV - only Roku combined with spotty internet. So you have to have a subscription to those apps beforehand. Plus even if you have the app, it sucks getting disconnected while you're watching a playoff game. Plus the tv is so old you cannot cast. Hotel ownership needs to at least get cable and decent internet service.
This hotel is very posh, nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. However, it is greatly overpriced for the value. Be advised, there are few, if any, handicap-accessible rooms. Our room had an exterior entrance at the top of a significant flight of stairs with no elevator anywhere.
Beautiful, spacious charming hotel with all the comforts of home. Jen, the Manager was so gracious and went out of her way to get me a little step stool to help with getting on and off the high bed. Great location with many restaurants within walking distance.
The room was huge! It was beautifully decorated, the bed was super comfy. The amenities were really nice. The front desk lady was really kind and helpful (I wish I had gotten her name!). I can’t say enough good things about this place!!
