One of the main problem is the bed squeeks too much I had the worst 3 nights sleep ever. You physically can’t move because any smalls move the bed is making really loud squeeks. Than it’s like your looking for the place and you can’t find it easily. When you get there you need to ring a number that shows up on the booking that no one said you needed to ring otherwise you can’t get into the place. No reception. But other than that the place is great if you just need somewhere to stay. You can hear a lot of traffic but most places you go you tend to hear traffic so that is not too bad. The place is in good condition a bit weird not having windows.

Clean and everything you need for a short stay
The room, bathroom and kitchen areas were all clean. The check in process was easy with staff greeting us at the door. Fine for a short stay. The bedroom could do with block out curtains. Close to tube station, supermarket and pubs/restaurants

Bed bug bites and dodgy activities.
Arrived to meet a nice gentleman after calling twice to come meet us at the door as there was no signage. Google maps didn't help as one of the registered addresses led us into the middle of a housing estate. More like a hostel than a guest house and only towels were left in one of the two rooms. One member of the party now has a ring of bed bug bites from a blanket that was placed at the bottom of the bed. Only time we have ever experienced this travelling. What can only be described as the contents of someone's house were laying all over one of the hallways. To top it all of, questionable activities of men and women staying in the guest house made it extremely uncomfortable and frightening to stay here. Especially for the women of the group. For example, a few men were coming in for a short periods of time and paying money at the door to a man and the various women leaving shortly after into a car. Really shocked that this place was advertised on Expedia and will make me think twice about using the service again.

Cheap but not cheerful
It needs to be clearer on the advert that its not just a shared bathroom but in an apartment with potentially 4 other people, who are obviously complete strangers! Meaning you are beholden to their habits! I travel loads and have stayed in all sorts of places but this is one experience that I would not like to repeat. Got up early to use the bathroom and it was soaked, a wet towel on a very slippery floor, had to clean it up with a tea towel. I chose not to have a shower! Only an overhead light in my room with the switch in the next room?? No sockets, ropey old bed, one pillow. No bin in room. Very noisy, doors constantly banging. I really did not enjoy being locked in this apartment with these strangers. I did try and say hello to one of the couples the man said hello the woman did not even bother looking up at me...The only good thing was the location. I would not use this place again.

Reasonably clean but overpriced
The "guesthouse" is effectively hidden from view and can only be reached by phone, if the "manager" has time to answer your call. Room has no window but is reasonably clean. Better pay a bit more and get a real hotelroom.

basic double room
No reception: waited outside for15 minutes for someone to let me in (despite phoning from Whitechapel Tube saying I'm on my way). Hottest day of the year: no window, no air conditioning. Extractor fan only worked with main light on (wierd). Some window banged all night long with the breeze: woke me up at 4:00, again at 5:00, then again at 6:00. Decided it was time to find breakfast uptown. Left.

Convenient, clean, value-for-money
I needed a clean, safe, affordable place with WiFi and this place delivered on all of those points. The location was fairly convenient too - close to a Tube station and with a bunch of restaurants and a few supermarkets nearby. Downsides ? There were a few minor ones. - No mirror in the room - No dustbin - Locking the door from the inside is tricky : the key does not fit properly into the keyhole. - No TV (This was not a problem for me but the ad online mentions a TV) - No toiletries provided (Again, not a problem, but this too is different from the ad online. I did receive a clean towel at the time of checking in, but that was about it.) - The staff (owner?) do not seem professional, but were polite. All in all, pretty basic place but perfectly fine for a brief, no frills stay.

No toilet paper
I arrived back to my room at 10pm and found that there was no toilet paper - I had to walk up the street and luckily found a public toilet. No facility to ring management as the mobile number did not make sense when I tried to ring it. Pay a bit more and stay somewhere else !
