House boat was very nicely made up for us, clean as could be. Comfortable bed, head was clean and functional. A roadside motel property but upgraded rooms, super clean and all totally suitable for our needs. Really cute decorations at front entrance and property seemed well maintained. "We were not sure what to expect before arriving at The Pell, but we had the most amazing stay. We didn’t want to leave and actually considered extending our stay. Our room was large and comfortable, everyone was so nice and helpful, and the food and coffee were great. The hotel was very close to all of the sites in Newport; location was very convenient. The price we paid for what we got was an insane steal and we will definitely be returning when we go back to Newport. One of our favorite trips to date."

There are places to eat also within walking distance and a very short drive to downtown Newport. The room we had was clean and had a great view. The breakfast was a nice touch and any minor issue we had was handled promptly by the staff. (Needing another blanket or vending machine needing to be refilled!) Just note that the elevator is slow and a little small/clunky but it works and is up to code! It’s not fancy- more like a beach vibe- and was a great stay."
