Really enjoyed our weekend getaway for my wife's birthday. The room was large and very clean, kitchen area had a microwave and all utensils needed. Bathroom was large and clean and had soap, shampoo and towels provided. Breakfast was available every morning around 8:30 am and consisted of fresh fruit, yogurt and home made muffins and baked goods. The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome and at home. Beautiful new porch on the front of the building that we enjoyed every evening before dinner for some pre-dinner drinks. We would definitely return (maybe in the fall) sometime for another visit. Thames street is a little over a mile walk from the property - Uber/Lyft is also available as an option and from $6-$12 per trip to Thames Wharf area depending on time of day. Tips - book mansion tour tickets and dinner reservations before your trip at high season times. Also, Newport drink prices and dinner at popular restaurants are pricey. Easy walk to the beach, and a little bit longer into downtown Newport but it is doable.
