Great place to stay for a couple nights while visiting New River Gorge NP. Close to gas, stores and food. If you’re only sleeping in your place this is a great option.

We had a late arrival. We had called the hotel to tell them we'd be arriving late between 1030 and 11. We got there around 11, and we're given a room, went down to the room and the door was wide open. The bathroom was still under renovation - bars off the wall, no shower door. Just very off-putting. So we went back down to the front desk to let them know, then they realized that the room should not have been in service. So that was an inconvenience at 11 o'clock when we were very tired after just driving 6 hours. So after 20 more minutes, we got another room, a double bed beause there was no kings available. And we were told that we would have to move to a king room the next night, because there were no doubles available for the following day. The next morning, we decided we weren't changing rooms. Let them know, and we didn't have to end up changing rooms. Room was nice although it did not have a phone which was odd. But it was clean. Bathroom was beautiful. However, when we came back from our day away, the room had not been cleaned. I asked the front desk if the rooms are supposed to be cleaned every day. She said yes, but you need to ask. I don't get that. The TV had maybe 2 channels that worked consistently. So all in all it could be really nice if they could just figure out how to run it.
