We stayed for five nights. The room was small (especially with two large suitcases) but functional and very well kept. The bed was very comfortable. The rooftop bar is amazing with the views, and the saunas were so nice as well (especially the one with the view!) We had forwarded our luggage from Tokyo and it was already in our room when we arrived. The location is great and very central. Easy access to tons of food options, shopping, Gion, and transportation around and out of Kyoto. The front desk and greeting staff, specifically “Coco”, were so pleased personable, friendly, and went above and beyond to make us feel special during our stay. As this was our honeymoon trip, they provided us extra drink tickets and a box of sweets in our room. There were free soft drinks, tea, coffee etc. available 24/7, as well as a Happy Hour upstairs overlooking the entire city, PLUS a foot bath to soak in the views!
