#### This beautiful beach in the heart of Broadbeach is loved by locals and surfing enthusiasts for its fantastic breaks, golden sands and clear, warm waters.

Often unheard of by holidaymakers, Kurrawa Beach is a local favourite for surfing and fishing. Relax on the spacious beach and soak up some sun or grab your board and hit the swells. Go rollerblading or cycling along the Kurrawa Beach boardwalk and make sure to pause a while to take in the stunning view.

Kurrawa Beach is one of the safest beaches on the Gold Coast thanks to the efforts of the well-trained Australian lifeguards that patrol the top bathing locations and the informative beach safety signs. Time your visit with one of the major Australian surf life saving competitions that take place throughout the year.

Visit Kurrawa Beach Surf Life Saving Club for magnificent views of the coastline. Enjoy a meal at the bistro or sip a drink on the veranda. The club is open daily and has live entertainment on the weekends. 

Wander down the beachside boulevard, where numerous shops and cafés await, as well as a children’s play area and fairground. Visit the duck pond and have a picnic within the sheltered picnic grounds. The area has plenty of barbecues, so bring some sausages and steaks and enjoy a relaxing afternoon with friends or family.

On the first and third Sunday of every month, visit the Broadbeach Art and Craft Market. The markets are held in Kurrawa Park and sell a wide range of jewellery, clothing, art and beauty products.

Kurrawa Beach is located on the Gold Coast, about an hour south of Brisbane. The beach is within walking distance of a wide range of top beach resorts, shopping locations and restaurants. The Gold Coast Surf Academy, located at Kurrawa Beach Surf Life Saving Club, offers a wide range of learn to surf classes as well as casual board hire.

All the staff were so friendly and very helpful, manager Teegan was great. Kept us informed during the Tropical Cyclone we had. Big shout out to the kitchen staff. Food was amazing. Really enjoyed a relaxing stay, even with a full night awake. One bit of info. Fly into Proserpine airport. Much easier access than Hamilton Island.
