"Beds were good and room was very comfortable. Air-conditioning was nice although if you open up the curtains at all, it cannot keep up. Comfortable stay. Biggest drawback is the elevators which was ridiculous. It was not uncommon to wait 15 minutes for an elevator (at the lobby) when there were three operating . I don’t know what was going on, but they did not operate correctly at all."

"Stayed July 2026 - Family of 4 Highly recommended. Small mini fridge was very helpful. AC worked well. Get the room with a view, it is lovely to sit out on the balcony. Yes, its dated but it is very well kept and you can really appreciate the beauty of the hotel. The staff were polite and helpful with my several encounters. The grounds are beautiful. We will return."

"amazing spot in Hilo town. The hustle and bustle sounds can be heard right in the area of this establishment. But, it shows that the Big Island is reviving back. The staff are an international group and well versed in customer service. The guests that stays here are pretty much a like-minded bunch."

"This place is beautiful. I spent almost the entire time outside on the deck. It down poured one day, what a delight to sit there on the deck and listen to the rain in the warm weather. It always cooled off when opening the windows so we were never hot. I enjoyed making meals and just sitting on the deck, enjoying incredible view. There was a cute little stand just down the road where we bought the best sourdough bread. They had tons of cute little gifts you could purchase as well. Close to Hilo we checked out the cow cuddling just outside of Hilo for 20 per person, my son loved it one of his favorite things we did. The beds were comfortable. My kids were a little frustrated at night when the TV had spotty reception, but not a dealbreaker for us as we did not come there to watch TV. The frogs provide provided a symphony at night, wonderful to listen to did not cause an issue for sleeping. It was pitch black at night saw none of the neighbors lights felt like we were in our own little world. Communication was great highly recommend this place for anybody that wants a little remote hideaway. The wood and deck of the house is amazing. we would love to return to this place it was very comfortable."
