The hotel has a good buffet breakfast with western and Asian choices. We didn’t try the onsen as it was closed for maintenance, there were family private ones available but too long a wait. Location is a bit far from the old town but is walkable, about 20 minutes. Morning market beside the river is worth visit."

"This place is a hidden gem in Takayama. Their free shuttle bus service will take you to the hotel and the station back and forth (15 mins ride). The room was nice, staff super nice, the breakfast is super wonderful and they even gave us some free drink (beer or juice) and free snack (small ramen or ice cream) in the evening! Their SPA bath was very nice and provides such tranquillity in the outdoor bath overlooking the river!! We fell in love!! "

"I loved everything! It was so nice and cozy and the staff were very friendly. The onsens were amazing! Very convenient location and walkable everywhere. Definitely recommend! Only thing is that the staff doesn’t speak english too well so they told me the free ramen was at 1030 so I missed it the first night. It says it’s until 10:30pm but they only open for 30 minutes (opens at 9pm and last call is at 930pm) so I don’t think that part is super clear. Besides that everything was amazing! "
