Upon our arrival the room was not suitable. It was clear it wasnt turned over properly,food on the bed mattress hair on towels sticky counters. Socks that were not ours. I will say the staff were amazing send someone to go clean it. The room smelled better after but the same issues with the food under the sofa bed and socks as well as the hair on the bath towel wasnt addressed. The hotel General Manager was great and called us the next day to adsress the concerns we had.

The first thing I noticed was how filthy the rugs are in the halls. Filthy!!!!! The rooms are clean but nasty rugs also. This hotel obviously has a high volume of people going through it. The restaurant bar does a big business. The people who work there are very nice. But when I went out the back door past the kitchen, it also struck me as dirty. I immediately told myself that I wouldn't eat anything coming out of that kitchen. All the same it is a very popular spot but you go through the restaurant with your bags to check in. That is awkward. It is an old building. I think if they got rid of the old, dingy carpets everywhere (rooms included) it would be much more palatable to stay there. Room furniture is also a bit worn out.

The staff was helpful with restaurants in the area and quick to respond to anything we needed. Breakfast was very good. The lattes for breakfast were perfect. Enjoyed the room nespresso.

Beautiful, welcoming inn full of character We loved everything about our stay at St. Martins Country Inn. The common spaces, including the sitting room, dining and breakfast areas, and lobby, feel almost like a beautiful museum, except you are actually invited to sit on the furniture, read the books, play the games, and enjoy the rooms. The furniture and decorations are gorgeous and the entire house is incredibly well kept. We spent a lovely rainy afternoon in the sitting room with my 10-year-old daughter, who absolutely loved it, and I really enjoyed the experience too. We stayed in one of the Coach House rooms. It had the same beautiful traditional style, a very comfortable bed, a pristine bathroom, and a huge balcony with chairs and a gorgeous view of the bay. The property itself is lovely, with flowers, outdoor sitting areas and a fire pit. Breakfast was amazing. I also loved the thoughtful little touches, like having the local tide schedule written on a blackboard in the breakfast room so guests can plan their visit to the St. Martins sea caves, which are only about a four-minute drive away. Beautiful place, wonderful atmosphere, and one of the most memorable stays of our trip. I would absolutely stay here again.
