Far from the noise and tourist traps... There is the old Hawaii of HANA, a small community overlooking beautiful Hana Bay on the windward east end of Maui. Hana is cooled by the trade winds that blow across the Pacific and nourish us with evening showers that make this part of Maui lush and tropical. As you travel the magical 'road to Hana' you leave the real world behind and slowly enter the land of old Hawaii, with waterfalls, majestic coastal views and jungle rain forests. By the time you arrive in Hana you will sense a slight change. You will feel a slower pace, more peaceful and quiet. As you follow the private drive through the tropical flower garden to our secluded Tradewinds Cottage, you will discover the Hawaii that you came to see. Our two bedroom, one bath cottage has just been beautifully remodeled. It features a full kitchen with granite countertops, a gas range, microwave and coffee maker. The cottage has a queen size bed and two twin beds. It has satellite TV, DVD player, plus wireless internet access. This vacation rental is fully permitted. Séjour de 2 nuits en mars 2025 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Kim H., Canada 16 nov. 2023 Points forts : Propreté #### Endroit magnifique et près de plusieurs activités Le cottage est très bien situé, à quelques minutes d’Hana, de la Hāna Farms Roadside Stand, Pizza Oven and Bakery (excellente pizza), du Waiʻānapanapa State Park, du Kahanu Garden, National Tropical Botanical Garden et du Tube de lave à Hana. Un arrêt de 2 à 3 nuits permet de prendre le temps de faire tous les attraits de la route d’Hana. À 40 minutes de la Pipiwai Trail. L’équipement est suffisant pour cuisiner, mais il faut prévoir apporter la nourriture car il n’y a pas d’épicerie à Hana seulement des dépanneurs et c’est excessivement cher. Plusieurs petits stands de bord de route pour les fruits, le pain aux bananes et de la nourriture, mais peu sont ouverts pour le souper et le dimanche. Le cottage est confortable. Il est non climatisé mais le vent était frais la nuit et la végétation bloque la chaleur. C’était très propre. Nous avons apprécié notre séjour. ##### Kim H. La maison est idéalement située à 5 mn de Waianapanapa, qui est vraiment magnifique. On s'y sent chez soi. Il n'y a aucun vis-à-vis lorsqu'on est dans le jacuzzi. Le jardin est superbe. It was the perfect spot for an overnight going to and from Hana. There are a few local spots to eat nearby as well. There’s no AC but the cabin had plenty of fans that it was still cool with the windows open. ##### Autumn G. Strolling around the garden with our kids was lots fun. The house is equipped with everything we needed as a family. The large lanai was great to be outside even when it rained heavily. For us it was perfectly located to reach hikes and beaches around Hana. Would definitely recommend the cottage! ##### Susanne S. The location is close to Hāna but also wonderfully quiet and peaceful. Thank you for leaving boogie boards - we enjoyed using them! There is no AC at this property and it did get warm at night, but the hosts provided several fans and it cooled off by morning. A ln outdoor grill would have made cooking nice, but the kitchen is beautiful and had everything we needed. Would stay again! ##### Julie A. Although it's not far off the road, it feels your in the middle of a lush tropical rainforest. The house was well furnished and the kitchen had all the supplies we needed. There were two boogie boards available for guests but there aren't many waves around Hana. One minor complaint is that it would have been helpful if there was a welcome binder with information about the house and the area. ##### Scott M.
