Greene Vacation Packages

I will start with the positives - the bed was really comfortable and my kids loved the whirlpool hot tub in our room! The hotel needs updating. It has one elevator and it looks like the other one was drywalled over. When we pulled up we weren't sure if the hotel was even open as the weeds have taken over the front area and the parking lot is in disrepair. Luckily there was an employee out front smoking so we knew we were in the right spot.

I only stayed one night, but unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. When I entered my room, there was a very strong food/cooking odor that made the room uncomfortable to stay in. I went to the front desk and asked if I could switch rooms, but I was told the hotel was fully booked. What was most surprising was that I was offered the option of having a bed placed in the conference room or being given Febreze. I paid for a private hotel room, so being offered a conference room—with no privacy—as an alternative was completely unacceptable. Febreze is also not a real solution to a strong odor that is making the room uncomfortable. I understand that hotels can become fully booked, but I expected the staff to offer a more appropriate solution or at least handle the situation with greater consideration for the guest. Unfortunately, this experience made my one-night stay very unpleasant, and I would not stay here again.
