Beautiful Lakeside Log Home near Acadia National Park - kayak, canoe, swim, fish

"We were looking for a cabin that would provide us serenity with amenities and close proximity to Acadia and Bar Harbor. We really lucked out finding Pebblenook Lodge as it provided all of that! From the immaculate cabin, to the well stocked kitchen, you really just need to bring your clothes and food and everything else is there! Tim and Sharon met us there at check-in and provided a smooth check-in process and lay of the land. We really loved how quiet it was there. We enjoyed the provided s’more bar at nightly bonfires where we marveled at the lake and enjoyed the views. From hiking Acadia, antiquing in the area, and going to Bar Harbor, we enjoyed the hustle and bustle! While on “lay low” days we kayaked around on the provided kayaks and really took in the beauty of Graham Lake! Don’t miss out on this 5 star stay!"

"Spotlessly clean, updated lakefront home with reliable central A/C, plenty of hot water, and fresh towels throughout our week-long stay. The owners went above and beyond outdoors — fishing rods, row boats, kayaks, dry firewood, a Duraflame log, and a stocked s'mores kit were all ready to go, plus a gas grill with spare propane and a set-up outdoor table/chairs/umbrella for lakeside meals. On the downside, the property sits near a busy road, and traffic noise was quite noticeable both inside and outside, sometimes disrupting sleep depending on which bedroom you're in; paper towels and toilet paper were also sparse for a week with 4 people, and a vegetable peeler would round out the kitchen. Overall a comfortable stay we'd book again, but light sleepers may want to request a bedroom farthest from the road."

"Here you go: --- **★★★★★** We had such a great stay here! The setting is absolutely gorgeous, and kayaking in the morning was such a treat. Our teen caught and released several sunfish right from the property, which was a fun bonus. An evening gathered around the fire pit was a perfect way to relax after a busy day exploring the area. We had a rainy day during our stay and the cabin was pleasant and cozy, with a big window to enjoy the view. The cabin had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again!"

"Such an idyllic setting and we've never experienced such amazing bird watching! The cove to the right is full of loons (we counted a group of 18 at one point) and an eagle open perched on the sandbar - we saw it several times returning to it's nest up the bank to the left with a freshly caught fish! There are many pickerel to catch off the sandbar, too - so, if you like to catch and release fish, bring gloves or pliers! It felt like being in a nature sanctuary for sure - thank you for use of the beautiful space!"

"Perfect little getaway. The view, the room, the hospitality, you couldn't ask for a better place. The bed is comfortable! That is a definite plus. Forget something from home? They most likely have it. They had "extras" to make you feel at home. My ONLY complaint is We had to leave. Nonetheless we absolutely enjoyed our time at The Loons Nest."

"This spot is exactly what a lake cabin should be. The location was easy to find and right on the water. We loved the views from the deck and dock and we appreciated the kayaks and inflatables for afternoons on the water. Our kids and pup had space to spread out and play and enjoy an unplugged week in the woods!"
