My expectations were well exceeded by the fit out and finish of the property, the size and space and practical appointments for this accommodation. A modern bathroom complimented the more traditional cottage feel and there was also a washing machine that was very timely at this stage of my holiday. "The house is located in a great location, just above the Market Brae steps, making it central to most places in the city center. The house is old, but very well kept. Two of the bedrooms are located on the second floor and a third, with its own bathroom, on the third. Stairs are a bit of a struggle, if you're not used to them, but not a huge issue. One minor negative is that there is a little bit of street noise from pedestrians on their way out of the city center after the bars closing. Usually...

"This adorable cottage was perfect for our family of 4. The location was close to stores and restaurants, easy walk to anything we needed. Having a parking spot on the property was perfect, a convenience that made our stay. The property was clean with comfortable beds and all the amenities we needed. "We had a wonderful stay at Nether Bellandy! Tony and Sharon were great hosts and the cottage is surrounded by beautiful scenery in the Scottish highlands. We saw plenty of local bird and wildlife, had great encounters with the farm animals on site and really enjoyed the remote and quiet location. Would definitely stay again!"

The closeness to the downtown centre was a real plus. We could enjoy all Inverness had to offer, and then cross the river back to our home away from home. "Clava Cottage was cozy and homey, or homely as they say in the UK. Gregor was an excellent host, communicative and responsive. The house had everything we needed and was comfortable. The wood burning stove in the living room was especially nice given the unseasonably cool weather during our stay. The location was walkable to city centre and an Aldi, a Tesco, and a Lidl. The cottage was an excellent home base for our highland adventures. We had a lovely stay."
