Glebe House B&B

"Faultless B&B, great location, friendly welcome"
I cannot praise this B&B enough, We opted to stay in a B&B as an alternative to camping and we are so glad we did! The house is in a beautiful setting and is immaculate inside. Each room had a private bathroom/en-suite and we felt at ease to come and go as we pleased. We were greeted with coffee and cake in the garden and had a full cooked breakfast the following morning. I would definitely stay here again if we were in the area, and recommend to anyone. Look no further!

Meare Manor - Guest house

"So Lovely!"
This was my favorite place that we stayed while touring southern England and Wales. The Manor is lovingly maintained and stately. Our room was posh and homey with extra touches everywhere. Several comfortable chairs. Pretty tea service with cookies and treats for the kids. There was also a decanter with a little something for a nightcap. The couple who own this inn are so lovely and helpful. We were too tired to go back into town, so they fixed us up some sandwiches and brought them to our room. They were always ready with a smile and a chat. I really enjoyed the garden, too.

"Is this the friendliest B&B in Somerset?"
I had to book last minute accommodation for business and really enjoyed my stay. Ramon and Joanna are really friendly and go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. Their rescue dog Maverick was such a cool guy too. I can definitely recommend this B&B for most if not all occasions.

Living Waters Retreat House and B&B

"Cute B&B close to town centre"
I chose this B&B because it is vegan friendly. The breakfast was really good and the owner was warm, welcoming and friendly. It is well located, close to the town centre and other visitor attractions in Glastonbury. The only downside for me is that the B&B is located on a busy main road into the town, and some people (like me) might find this a bit distracting, as both rooms are at the front and especially if you need to open the windows, but this might not bother other people at all.

This is a nice guest house. Do not expect a 5 star hotel facility. But the breakfast and host are more than five stars.

"Excellent Experience"
We arrived rather late and were given a very warm welome by our hosts. It was rather late to find a restaurant so they provided tea and genourous portions of cheese and biscuits - for which they did not charge! This was served in the large guest lounge (which thankfully has no TV!)The loaned us some books about Glastonbury and its history which were very helpful. The hosts are very artistic and this is reflected in the wonderful decor. The house itself is a large, interesting, late victorian mansion built by a stonemason for himself and as an advert for his work. We stayed in the 'Gothic Room' which was well equipped and decorated. It includes a digital flat screen TV. It had been very wet and cold on our long trip and the room was warm and welcoming. There is a large on-suite bath/shower room with a separate dressing room. Breakfast was beautifully presented and cooked. We are vegi and that was absolutely no problem. There was a large selection of locally produced preserves etc as well as a choice of quality cereals, fuit and organic yoghurt. Everything has been carefully thought about and only the best of everything used. Altogether this is the best B & B we have been to over many years of travelling in the UK. Highly recommended - thanks Peter & Felicity for such a warm and cultured welcome.

Camelot Retreat

6 Meadow View, Glastonbury - Map
"A Bed and Breakfast setting.."
Camelot Retreat is a good alternative to a hotel. I do not think B&B's can be rated using the same expectations as a hotel. The owner works very hard to insure all her guests are comfortable and have enough of anything..from breakfast to umbrellas. The home and rooms are clean..the setting is quiet and convenient and occassionally you may have to wait your turn for the bathroom. Valerye wants to provide a quiet... even meditative setting. That is clear in the description and since it was as described...we found it very pleasant and hospitable. Doubt a hotel managerwould have popped our rain soaked jackets in the dryer.
