YMCA of The Rockies Estes Park
10/10 Excellent
"The hotel, campus really, it's too large to be a hotel, is amazing. There are so many amenities and activities to do! This is a perfect location for hikers or families. The rooms are large and clean. The common area is large and comfortable with couches, a microwave and a fireplace. You can hike directly into Rocky Mountain National Park without a reservation, and there's tons of wildlife all around."

"They upgraded our room on arrival. The rooms was clean and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others staying in Estes Park."
The Stanley Hotel

"The staff were very courteous and even apologized for the large crowd that got a little loud at the bar while eating dinner. The hotel was clean and we had ample supply of fresh towels and toiletries in our room. My only complaint was that the parking situation was not ideal and loads of construction around the hotel that did not allow us to access and enjoy all the amenities they had to offer. The rose garden was half blocked off; we did not even get to view the pool area. In addition, there were cranes obstructing our mountain view from our room and we were awakened by construction noise in the morning during our stay. Also, when booking through Expedia, I was under the impression I booked a room in the hotel but later discovered that Expedia booked our room in the lodge. I thought that this was a little deceiving considering the room I booked stated Stanley Hotel and then details revealed Lodge."

Discovery Lodge

"While the rooms were clean, they were small but the hotel just had a comfy feel that was inviting. The town was crowded beyond belief but the Discovery Lodge provided an escape right next to the chaos. The view from our second floor balcony was spectacular and the benches next to the pond were so relaxing, I didn't get to try the breakfast as we left for the Rocky Mountain National Park too early to partake. I would definitely stay there again."

"If you simply need a quiet, basic, and affordable place to stay, after a day of adventures in the area… this is a great spot. Great location - you can park at the visitor center and catch a free ride to various spots in Estes, rather than deal with paid parking. The staff were very welcoming, kind, and genuine. They had a smile on their faces, even when answering questions they likely hear 1 million times every year!"
