The Franciscan Hotel

"Lovely hotel 2 mins from the beach. More ‘motel’ in style but very clean, friendly helpful staff, and good facilities. Loved the inclusive bike hire; ice machine; fridge and coffee in room. Pool was small but well maintained and clean. Breakfast was fine (we ate used to European breakfast buffets) but there were eggs, bacon, cereals, pastries and muffins, as well as a fruit bowl. For the price, you can’t go wrong."

"This is my new favorite place to stay in Santa Barbara. The decor is outstanding, the rooms quiet, the pool a nice size, the staff helpful, the location perfect to walk to downtown destinations. They even have bikes which I rode to the bike path that goes along the beach. The parking is very convenient downstairs."

"Wonderful studio getaway sitting above Santa Barbara! Host was gracious and room was spotless, enjoyed sitting on the patio watching the sunset and sunrise! Neighborhood very quiet and lovely!"
