We spent 3 nights at hotel California. The most horrible thing is that the water is yellow due to ageing water pipe. And the front desk just explained as if it’s normal. And the solution provided was : turn on the tap for 10 mins, the colour will become light. I hope I can share the video of picture here for your reference.

If you want to be a tourist in Santa Barbara, this is the spot. Walking distance to wharf, beach, "Funk Zone" and great dining. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. The hotel itself is a great taste of history and excellent amenities.

Overall property is beautiful. One complaint: a 5 star hotel shouldn’t have “water hammer “ every time a toilet is flushed. (Room 329). Kept me up all night. Fix your damn pipes.
