"It is an updated property and was very nice. The lobby, where they offer breakfast, has a strong order for some reason, and the staff helps you through a window at the side of the building, versus at the lobby counter, which is different, but they were very nice! I would stay here again for sure!"

"Keep in mind the hotel is well over 100 years old. It has been lovingly maintained though the upstairs porches are not safe , the wraparound veranda downstairs is excellent for relaxing. This is a great spot to stay while you visit the McDonald Observatory, Davis Mountain scenic route,Chihuahuan-desert botanical garden and Marfa,Tx. Most of all the staff are very helpful and kind.."
