Exceptional!! The two bedroom, two bath loft was absolutely amazing. Immaculate. Gorgeous. The grounds are beautiful and so is the pool. Staff was super friendly. They helped with taxis and guided us on what to see and how to get there. The continental breakfast was delicious. The property is in a quiet neighborhood, which is a nice respite from the hustle n bustle of downtown. The tram that takes you into the historic center is only a few minutes walk, very convenient. I can't say enough how much we loved this place. We want to return asap!

The place is nice however there are few disappointing conditions First is is pretty far from the center contrary to what is written it takes half an hour in public transportation to get to the center, which means at least an hour a day and if you want to come and go it is more cumbersome Second the staff is not available. In the evening there’s no one to answer, not even on the phone. The room itself is clean and well kept but there isn’t enough light , which makes it difficult and uncomfortable. The yard and the pool are very nice and welcoming and if you are looking for some getaway from the crowded city it is really nice. As for the breakfast it varies on different days, on one day it was very slim on the second much reacher.

The property was interesting and located away from the center of Florence (a plus). Nice pool and bar. Pleasant staff. The breakfast was completely inadequate and sad— almost nothing to choose from (and for 300 a night you would expect considerably more… ).

The facility is very modern, tasteful and well kept. The common lounge/breakfast room is super comfortable and the staff (particularly Sara and Elenora, who I dealt with) were very friendly capable and helpful. I would hire either of them in a second. The breakfast (included with the room) had many options and were fresh and tasty. When you approach this place, it seems rather out of the way, but the tram station into town in a block away and access to the city center was actually pretty easy. The one limitation is the lack of nearby restaurants. There is a fantastic pastry shop a block away, but restaurants for dinner require a 15-20 minute walk - manageable, but not great. All- in-all, we enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to go back.

Good: Very nice decoration, good cleaning work everyday. Good bed. Very nice reception. Very convenient to have bikes with baby seat! Not so good: If have washing machine it'll be perfect. Quality of breakfast could be better. Things for kitchenette are very very limited. Parking space limited, only 3, almost always full, so had to park on the street.

This property has great potential if you want to be out of the touristy areas. it just doesn't quite cut it for the price. The grounds are very nice and the reception area was very nice and the operators were very friendly and helpful. However, the rooms seemed just a little dirty and musty. This is an old building not unlike most buildings in Italy, but other redone rooms that we stayed at throughout Italy didn't have the same odors and cleanliness issues. The stairs inside the rooms seemed somewhat dangerous. We stayed in two different rooms while we were there and the 3 story loft was nicer, but with the same issues. In the second room we stayed in there was outside carpeting between the doors of two rooms which makes no sense and it was filthy.

A little bit of heaven
Riva Lofts is a wonderful place to stay to get away from the hectic tourist swarms in the city center. It is a 10 minute tram ride into the train station or a leisurely 20 minute bike ride (they provide the bikes!). It is quiet, green and serene. The rooms are spotless and modern. The sala hosts a large communal table for a gourmet breakfast spread (many things home made)which is included. Also a small but beautiful swimming pool and garden. The staff was very accommodating. All their recommendations were terrific. We had been staying for 3 nights in Piazza Antinori so this was a pleasant change. Not at all inconvenient.

Great location and caring personnel
Extremely friendly and caring personnel. Check-in experience was great. Location is 10mins away from downtown center and they provide bicycles for free to explore the city. This is actually by far better than staying downtown as traffic and parking there is a mess. Would always stay at Riga Lofts again

Charm and boutique in one.
Recently spent a short break at this wonderful little place within easy walking distance of the centre. Stayed in Loft 8 which has a good balcony to relax on and good space inside. Great staff, friendly and knowledgable, particularly when booking restaurants and advising on sites to see. Overall a great little hideaway for couples visiting Florence.

Boutique hotel great for large, apartment like roo
This was a quick stay for me for one night. A nice boutique hotel, very difficult to find and not in a tourist location. This is a good place to stay if you want to live like a local.

Our location is 2.5 km from the Ponte Vecchio, we have a useful tramway a couple of minutes away from us that takes you to the centre in 5 minutes, or you can reach it in 10 minutes bike ride. We are out of the busy centre but in a quiet area in front of the park. All the best!

All in all we had a lovely 2 nights here but it was not particularly good value for money. It as clearly a beautifully finished place when first opened but not enough attention is being paid to upkeep. One of the attractions was borrowing old fashioned bikes to cycle into town. However, most were in such poor condition it was a virtual impossibility. The most disappointing aspect was breakfast, having been billed as something quite special, the reality was a tiny and indifferent spread with additional charges being asked for some cold meat. This needs to be addressed.

spent ages researching and definately made the right choice. The staff are SO helpful, lots of local info, will book a restaurant table, tickets, taxis etc. NOTHING is too much trouble. The lofts and whole atmosphere is so beautiful, classy, super chic and cool but very friendly and welcoming. A real treat on the eyes when you first arrive! The breakfast was lovely, simple but nice and they seem to get EVERY detail right. I'm very fussy when it comes to accomodation and the vibe and atmosphere of a hotel/accomodation. Honestly, I cannot imagine you would have anything to be unhappy about. Will definatey stay there when we revisit Florence in the future. BTW, this is my first EVER review but I was so impressed that I felt hard work and dedication in to making it such a lovely experience deserves much praise!

the stay here was amazing, i wished i had stayed for more than 1 night, if i had known it was going to be this cool, i would have booked my entire stay in firenze at this place. my loft was gorgeous and the staff is very nice and friendly. we borrowed the bikes and i loved how easy and casual it was. the staff also helped with restaurants and all the suggestions were amazing places. the loft was very clean, i had some flurries from outside float it, but it just added to the charm. hotel location is great, esp if you like to stroll down the river, or bike, its far enough from the hustle and bustle of all the tourist, but still close enough to get to where you need to be. its also near a very cute neighborhood with great gelato and a cute supermarket. if i ever get the chance to come back to firenze, i'll be staying here!

My new favorite hotel
I loved staying here and wish I had stayed longer than one night. The room was perfect and the kitchenette was great! The location is a bit further out, but I liked the quiet neighborhood. It gave me an opportunity to see a part of Florence I normally wouldn't have. I also love that they had bikes available for use. It made getting to the city center a breeze. Would love to stay here again!

A different type of Florentine holiday
If you've been to Florence before and are looking for a different experience, this is a good place to stay but not for s first visit if you want a proper city experience. Located along the river outside the city Riva Lofts is a restful and relaxing place to lounge around the lap pool and soak up some rays. Staff have great insider tips about different places to visit and dine in Florence, which are off the beaten track. Such as the world's oldest pharmacy tucked away near the train station. The hotel has bikes for guests to use to ride along the river cycle paths into the city, which is really good fun. Some of the bikes are very old and rickety but that is part of the fun, as long as the brakes work! Breakfasts at the hotel are quite basic and were slightly disappointing given the price of the rooms, which are certainly not cheap. Also the outside area is quite a lot smaller than it looks in photographs and not as immaculate as I was expecting, but still nice. All soft drinks in the room mini bar are free, which is very welcome when the mercury hits 37degrees! It's a great little haven if you want a relaxing holiday in a city like Florence.

Unique boutique B & B off the beaten path
Beautifully designed and outstanding service. The staff speak excellent English and suggested some great non-toursity restaurants. I liked that the B & B was outside the center of town (where the tourism industry can be a bit overwhelming) but accessible by foot, bike or car. For a unique boutique hotel experience off the beaten path, I would highly recommend this one!

Escapade à Pisa et Florence
Hôtel proche du tram qui vous emmène en quelques minutes à Florence au centre ville ( arrêt gare ) et depuis là vous avez la ville à vous. Personnel sympa, chambre vraiment grande et agréable , lieu pour le petit déjeuner très atypique et pittoresque. Nous n’avons pas profité de la piscine un peu frisquets. 3 places de parcs devant l’hotel ou d’autres proche de qq mètres.

Cool architect hotel with swimming pool for warmer days. The staff is extremely helpful, especially with helping to book restaurants etc. A bit self service during daytime in the dining room, u can have fruit and croissants and beverages and just write it done in their notebook. You can’t have lunch or dinner there, so be prepared to go in to city center for that.

Riva Lofts sind 2008/2009 herum eröffnet worden - die Anlage ist gut gepflegt, in den Zimmern (jedenfalls in dem von mir bewohnten) hapert es ein bisschen. Im Bad ist ein Loch im Putz, in der fancy beleuchteten Rainshower Dusche schimmelt es in den Fugen, der Schminkspiegel ist gebochen und mit Gaffa Tape wieder zusammen geklebt etc. Für 100-130 Euro pro Nacht wäre das ok und ggf ein bisschen "Italienisch" - für 250 Euro ist das nicht Standard. Bitte auch nicht von den Bildern in der Hotelbeschreibung täuschen lassen, die eine wundervolle Wohnung mit großen Fenstern und Ausblick zeigen. Es gibt auch Studios (das hatte ich) die im Erdgeschoss liegen und deren einziges Tageslicht die Glasscheibe innerhalb der Eingangstür ist. Ausblick=0. Lage am Fluss = Mückenalarm. Positiv: Grundsätzlich sehr geschmackvolles Interieur/Konzept. Nettes Frühstück (italientypisch) und sehr nettes Personal mit sehr guten Englischkenntnissen. Lage bisschen außerhalb der Stadt - aber Tramstation ist in der Nähe.

Wir sind mit Freunden gereist und hatten 2 Zimmer gebucht. Das Zimmer unserer Freunde war wegen OVERBOOKING nicht verfügbar. Das war natürlich eine große Enttäuschung. Man hat sie dann in ein anderes Hotel gebucht, das gut war aber mit dem Auto leider 15 Minuten entfernt war.
