I’ve been in Italy so far for a week and I absolutely loved my time in Florence. Hotel Cantoria was conveniently located a short 5 min walk from the strain station, there was a water fountain a block away, Mercato Centrale was a short 2 minute walk and best of all the hotel itself was beautiful and full of friendly staff. They had breakfast included in my reservation and it was amazing!!! I will be coming back to Cantoria very soon!

Modern hotel close to train station
This charming hotel is located close to the train station, San Lorenzo market and the Galleria dell’Academia. Its entrance is located on the 5th floor of a building ( a bit hard to find though because the sign is small) and from the terrace one gets a nice panoramic view of the city. Our room was comfortable, clean, quiet and nicely furnished ( fantastic bedding !) . The Breakfast buffet offered a nice variety of sweet and savoury foods. Last but not least, the staff were super kind and helpful.

Cute little spot

The room was nicely updated, but we had a minor issue with the AC unit. We had to leave the room with the card installed for the AC to run for more than 30 minutes in order for the room to begin to feel cooler. Also, the lobby and breakfast room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. The rooftop area was a nice bonus. We had a cocktail there and enjoyed the great views. The staff was friendly and prompt when handling any issues. Definitely not a bad place to stay if you can stand the smell of smoke, which I can’t.

Rooms were very clean and moderately updated. Black out curtains were a treat and ample places to put the luggage. Good sized bathroom, although the shower was small, like most Italian showers. The breakfast was very good and has lots of options. Front staff were mostly helpful although felt there was a language barrier if you didn’t speak Italian with a lot of the staff. Some staff were very helpful with tips in the city. Others felt like they couldn’t wait to stop talking to you, which could be a language/cultural barrier. Great food market a 2 minute walk which was a great introduction to the cities cuisine. The rooftop bar was by far the highlight of the place. Good drinks with an even better view. Full 360 view of the city.

Firenze Stop Off
Booked the hotel for the proximity to main station - a five minute walk Street was very busy with pedestrians and traffic but after a speedy and friendly check in, we had a small but spotless room overlooking the rear so there was no noise. Super clean room and bed, great air con, the breakfast wasn’t massive but all the food there was good quality and the coffee excellent The roof terrace is amazing to be away from the crowds and to see the city from above. Staff interaction very friendly with the exception of the older guy in the evening Who manned the bar. He wasnt pleased at bringing a drink up to the roof (muttered to himself) although we’d happily have brought it up ourselves he also didn’t like the rain as he had to move the seat cushions (again lots of low muttering) but all the other staff were lovely and friendly. The only negative was the tiny shower cubicle which we both struggled with, but all in all this was a very good experience in Firenze and I’d recommend

Great hotel in the heart of Florence. Roof terrace has the most spectacular views. Room was very clean and comfortable. Aircon worked well. Breakfast had a great selection which was fresh and had gluten free options

Very convenient, walkable and near SMN, plenty of restaurants nearby. Staff is very friendly and kind, breakfast is decent and the lady who does the coffee is super kind. Easy to find. I would recommend to install locks from the inside for added safety, specifically in single rooms. I’ll be back soon, hopefully!

Very Unprofessional cancel short to arrival
I did not stay. They were so unprofessional that they canceled my reservation 4 days before my travel. I had never seen it in my entire travel life. If you are a person who travels on a budget, do not book this hotel. I found a great hotel very well located. During my walk by Florence, I saw where they are. Very noisy street.
